We’re excited to officially introduce the newest member of our Developmental Youth Academy leadership team! Please help us welcome David Fiest as our Assistant Academy Director.
Originally from Kansas, David Fiest brings more than 25 years of coaching experience and a lifelong passion for the game to his role as Assistant Academy Director. A former NCAA Division II player, David has worked with players at nearly every level of the game throughout his coaching career. He currently serves within the Clayton High School boys and girls soccer programs, where he continues to invest in the growth and development of student-athletes.
While David is relatively new to the area, he has quickly become committed to serving the local soccer community. His coaching philosophy extends far beyond wins and losses, emphasizing meaningful relationships, character development, accountability, and creating an environment where every player can grow both on and off the field.
Away from the field, David enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it’s hiking, exploring the mountains and national parks, or capturing landscapes through photography. He’s also a firm believer that coffee is an essential part of a successful coaching day although he’s still working on convincing everyone else.
As Assistant Academy Director, David is excited to help continue the Academy’s growth by developing individual players, supporting coaches and families, and strengthening the club’s connection to the community. His passion for the game, combined with his commitment to developing people first, makes him a valuable addition to the club as it continues to build for the future.
