The best coaches aren’t always the ones with the most experience. They’re the ones who encourage, support, and help players fall in love with the game.

NRFA is looking for volunteer recreation coaches for the Fall 2026 season. Whether you’re a former player, a soccer parent, or simply someone who wants to make a positive impact, we’d love to have you on the sidelines with us.

Whether your player is stepping onto the field for the very first time or returning for another season of fun, learning, and growth, NRFA Recreation Soccer has a place for them!

We’re excited to announce that Teddy Pierce will be joining NRFA as our Camps & Events Director as the club looks to add a UPSL program to complement our WPSL 2 side.

Teddy is a co-founder of AC Raleigh, a proud UPSL member club, where he has spent the last five years serving in a variety of roles including General Manager, coach, and player. During that time, he helped build one of the most dominant clubs not only in North Carolina, but throughout the Southeast.

With five consecutive UPSL playoff appearances and a league championship this past season 🏆, Teddy has helped lead sustained success in one of the toughest conferences in the country. Under his leadership, multiple players have advanced into the professional ranks and followed his path of playing overseas. Combined with his experience developing players across every collegiate level, we believe Teddy can help provide the platform needed for NRFA players to continue their growth and careers beyond high school.

Teddy Pierce:

“I’ve dedicated the last 15+ years to player development and creating opportunities for driven local players, so joining forces fully with this club is a dream come true. I’m excited to get to work and make the next 15+ years special for this community because it deserves that. I know competing within this platform will help further players’ and families’ love for this beautiful game.

For too long, the system has felt like college or bust for players. I’m here to reinforce the belief that the sport should be a lifelong journey within the game.”

A huge congratulations to all of our Classic/NPL teams who wrapped up their season this past weekend. We’re proud of the effort, growth, and fight each team showed all year long.
