If anyone was unable to join us for the 4h meeting on Saturday our next meeting will be July 11th at 10am. We will be doing prelim elected positions for the clubs leadership along with going over more indepth on what people are interested in. If you were unable to make our past meeting I am including the 2 sheets that list the options the kids can do with the SEYF along with 4h. We got an idea from each of the kids who were able to attend on what they are interested in and if you weren't able to attend we would love it if you commented here what your kids are interested in so we can get you some more information about what they are interested in.

Officer Positions:

President - Plan the business part of the meeting with your fellow leaders. Start and Stop the meeting. President and call the meeting to order. Provide opportunities for all members to be heard. Encourage everyone to participate. Help guide the meeting. Work with the other elected officials and Advisors to plan meetings and activities.

Vice President - Second in Charge. You take control of the meeting if the president can't attend. Help prepare the calander of events. Work closely with the other leaders to help organize, plan and run a smooth meeting.

Secretary - You are the one responsible for maintaing the records for the club. You will work closely with the club President. You will attend officers training sessions. Record any officers elected, committees appointed and other business brought before the club. Call roll call and record attendance. Read minutes of the last meeting. Talk about any un-finished business left from prior meetings. Keep records of all correspondence directed to the club. Work with the Reporter in preparing articles for the 4h newspaper. Call the meeting to order if the President and VP are not at a meeting. Write any motion put forth by the club.

Treasurer - keeper of the financial records. Leader of the clubs finance and fundraising committees. Help create a committee to involve other members with fundraising, decision making as well as developing an annual club budget. Keep an accurate account of all money recieved and its sources, paid expenses showing to whom and why the money was paid. Keep a monthly ledger for income and expenses. Deposit dues(if any) and any other monies recieved(fundraising activities or donations) Help set up fundraising opportunities or apply for grants - this gets run by the county 4h association before setting up. Provide recipts to all individuals who give money to the club. Pay money out of the club account only as voted on by the club.

Reporter - Telling others about what our club is doing in 4h. Spreading the business of 4h, your club or council to people. Write a report of each 4h meeting following the meeting and share it with local news sources as well as the county extension office. Make a collection of clippings or news items about your club for the permanent record. Write articles and take photos of special 4h events for your local newspaper. Serve as chairman of rhe publicity committee.

Sergeant At Arms - Assist with meeting set up and tear down. Arrange pledges and thoughts for the day for each meeting. Attend officers training sessions.

Historian - Collect memorabilia from other 4-Her's about events, activities of your club. Take photographs that show events and activities of your club. Create a scrapbook or other type creation for the 4h club. Work with the club reporter to gather news clippings and stories for your club. Help coordinate the club social media.

Parliamentarian - Learn about parliamentary procedure and its application to meetings. Help your fellow club members understand how meetings work and run. Make final decisions on any discrepancy in the parliamentary procedure for your club.

Some other positions that could be considered with enough interest are:

Community Service Leader - this person would be responsible for helping find and organize community service opportunities for club members.

Recreation Leader - this person would be responsible for helping to organize and plan activities for the club and its members.
