Election Day can fill our minds with noise—and leave little patience for the people we love.

Pause with Jesus. Remember that you belong to Him. Then put your phone down and give someone close to you your full attention.

Today’s ABIDE practice: Before your next conversation, pray, “Jesus, help me receive Your love and share it with the person in front of me.”

With Election Day approaching, there are plenty of voices telling us what to think and who to fear. Which voice is shaping you?

“He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” —1 John 4:4

This evening, take a moment to pray. Bring what you’re hearing back to Scripture. Ask God for wisdom, and discern together with trusted believers.

Try three prayer pauses tomorrow: morning, midday, and evening. Each time, ask: “What voice has been shaping me?”

Whatever tomorrow brings, keep following Jesus.

Have you ever apologized—and then explained why it wasn’t really your fault?

Jesus’ grace gives us courage to take responsibility. We can admit where we were wrong, ask for forgiveness, and let our actions match our words.

Today’s ABIDE practice: Ask Jesus whether there’s someone you need to apologize to. Be specific. Leave out the “but.” Take one step toward making things right.

When I’m restless, I need to anchor myself in His care and trust that He will lead me beside still waters again.

Try this today: Spend one quiet minute with Jesus. Then put your phone down and ask someone you love, “How are you really doing?”

Trying to overcome hurts, habits, or hang-ups can feel lonely—especially when you think you should be past them by now.

Jesus knows you fully and loves you deeply. You don’t have to carry your struggles alone.

Today’s ABIDE practice: Take one honest step toward connection. Reach out to someone trustworthy and say, “I’m struggling with something. Could we talk?”
