It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear friend, Friends of Pioneer Board Member and Treasurer, Dan Zapp.

Dan came alongside Friends of Pioneer several years ago and generously devoted his time and talents as an accountant to help support our ministry. Dan loved Pioneer, but more importantly, he loved serving others.

Every year at Pioneer Fest, you could find Dan behind the grill, cooking and serving with a smile. In fact, the grill and many of the supplies we use were donated by Dan himself! That was just who Dan was—always willing to give, always willing to help, and never looking for recognition.

Dan will be greatly missed by our entire Pioneer family. What a blessing and a treasure it was to know him and serve alongside him. We are so grateful for the years God gave us with Dan and for the lasting impact he made on this ministry.

Please join us in praying for Dan's family and loved ones during this difficult time.

"Well done, good and faithful servant!" — Matthew 25:21 (NIV)

Until we meet again, Dan. Safely Home with his Savior. ✝️
