Sometimes they come to us feisty and frightened and WAY too young to face the world on their own. That's when our Fabulous Fosters kick in! These wee ones were snatched up by one of our fosters and are now thriving and growing and getting ready to greet you at our adoption center soon. Plan for a big day ahead this coming Saturday! Get rabies vacs for your dogs and cats, then head over to Spence Ranch and Feed to support CHS at a pancake breakfast. Along with delicious flapjacks, we will be serving up a raffle with prizes donated from Spence and other supporters in our wonderful community. Don't miss out on the fun!

She came to us as a volunteer. The dogs promoted her to emotional support human. ❤🐾
All the animals love Lynda, instantly sensing that she's a safe and caring person. Lynda and her husband, Ted, have devoted countless hours to helping CHS as both in-house volunteers and as fosters. With their help, dogs at the shelter get extra love and attention. Their home has been a safe haven for baby kittens to grow up, injured dogs to heal, and frightened dogs to gain confidence. In an epic foster event, Lynda and Ted took in pregnant Miss Pickles, then whelped and raised the now-famous Pickle Pups (scroll back to see posts from April about this amazing litter).
It's people like Lynda and Ted who make CHS such a special place and allow us to keep doing the work that is so needed for animals in this county. We welcome new volunteers and fosters. Become part of the CHS team. Call 209-736-9417 to find out more.
