With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of former member and Firefighter, Jeffrey Sweeney.

During his high school years, Jeff joined the Concord Fire Department Explorers where he became Post President. Jeff served as a Firefighter and member in his home town, on the Boscawen Fire Department.
Jeff joined East Andover Fire Department in December of 2000, which he served with pride until his deployment in 2011.

At this time our Fire and EMS members wish to express their condolences to the family of Jeff, to include his son Andover EMT/ Firefighter, Keygan Sweeney.

Graveside services will be held on June 23rd, 10 a.m. at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH. A reception will follow at the Elks in Franklin, 125 S. Main St., Franklin, NH 03235 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Please keep Jeff’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

Andover EMS is proud to share that Skyla Bowles has successfully completed her EMT Training and Certification!
Skyla is an LNA of 10 years and works as a medical assistant full time. She has a beagle, is getting married next month, lives in Andover NH and loves spending time with family and helping others. Her bubbly personality and kindness make her a wonderful asset to our EMS team!

‼️⚠️ Road Closure⚠️‼️

UPDATE: Maple Street open, 12:25 pm

Maple Street is closed at this time for through traffic. Crews responded to a tree and wires sparking this morning on Maple Street. At this time 40 homes are without power in the area of Maple St, Elbow Pond and Old College Rd. Maple Street is closed near the power lines, with a tree across the road. Please take alternate routes.

Last night members of Andover EMS attended a very realistic training that simulated an ATV accident at the Salisbury Fire Department.
Along with Andover EMS, Dartmouth Hitchcock Advanced Response Team - DHART took part in the joint training with Salisbury NH Fire Rescue and The Penacook Civil Defense Rescue Squad. It was a great opportunity to practice skills and discuss operations for all.

Members of the Andover Fire Department and the Andover Highway Department participated in a CPR/AED/Stop the Bleed class last night given by Andover EMS member and Proctor Academy Athletic Trainer, Kelly Griffin-Brown. We are so grateful to have Kelly right here in Andover to keep our certifications current. Kelly, thank you for taking the time out of your busy day! Great work to Andover Fire and Highway crews!

Andover Fire, EMS and supporters were so happy to spend SHARE Day at Andover Elementary Middle School today! Fire, EMS and police worked together to show kids the engine, ambulance and cruiser. The students were also able to practice using the stretcher, fire hose and ask questions. Then they went home with lots of goodies!

Monday evening members of the Andover Fire Department placed 72 flags on the graves of past members of the Citizens Fire Company, Andover Fire Department, East Andover Fire Department and Andover Rescue Squad. We honor our fallen firefighters and EMS members with a tribute, recognizing his or her service to our community and contribution to the nation.

EMS Member Jeffrey Miller has put a great amount of work into researching with current and past members, hoping to keep the list up to date. If your loved one has been overlooked as a past member of any of our Departments, please let us know. We will be sure they are recognized.

We are grateful for the service from all of these individuals.
