Day 2:
At 12:54 pm Sunday, Andover Fire Department was alerted of a report of smoke, seen from Bradley Loop in Andover. AFD returned to Bradley Lake Road, where Thursday’s early morning storm, had lightening that struck a tree. Mutual aid was requested for man power.
Salisbury, Wilmot and Andover Fire hiked back into the woods 0.6 miles, to find a 50’ x 70’ area burning. Andover then requested another crew from New London. Crews found the rekindled fire, dug a fire line around the area and then proceeded to extinguish the fire. By 6 pm, all crews came out of the woods.
We are again grateful for mutual aid support from,
Salisbury NH Fire Rescue,
Wilmot Volunteer Fire Department and New London NH Fire Department.
We would like to thank the community member at jjsmarketandover, who paid for our drinks and ice today. It was heartwarming, when we returned to pay our tab, to find it had already been paid for. 🫶
A BIG thank you to Marie and Jim of Pizza Chef of Andover. All of our pizzas were dondated today! We are very appreciative for your thoughtfulness! Our crew was even happier! 🍕❤️
It’s the support our community gives us, that keeps us going! ❤️We appreciate those that call 911 and make reports of emergencies, generous donations of food and drink and the kindness you give our volunteers.
