Recently we were able to open our Boutique for students from the Lower Yukon Villages to come shop for free clothing and winter gear. These students are studying in Anchorage at the ASD Kusilva Career Academy and had a great time shopping and connecting. We love partnering to provide hope in tangible ways!

As temperatures drop, we’re still collecting winter gear to help children in foster care stay warm this winter! We especially need sizes for middle and high school students.

Beacon Hill partnered with Alaska Center for Resource Families for their Anchorage Foster Parent Support Group Fall Carnival! 🍂

It was a fun evening for foster families to connect, enjoy some fall festivities, and spend time together. We’re thankful to be able to support the families who are opening their homes and lives to children in foster care and helping them thrive. ❤️

Sgt. Jon Butler is a full-time SWAT Sergeant with the Anchorage Police Department and a dedicated volunteer leader whose community service impacts thousands of Alaskans annually. Serving in leadership and board roles across Anchorage Cops for Community, Beacon Hill, Anchorage Youth Court, and Special Olympics Alaska, Jon mobilizes critical community support through donor engagement, volunteer recruitment, and hands-on program coordination.

OCS is seeking placement for a pre-teen youth in the Anchorage or surrounding area. Youth is very sweet, bright, and enjoys being active and involved in sports. A two parent home is preferred. OCS will help support individuals in becoming licensed for placement.

After leaving a domestic violence situation for their safety, a mother of nine and her children are starting over. Recently, she was referred and able to visit the Beacon Hill Boutique to shop for the things her family needs.

“This is extremely helpful as we have to start over. We left everything for our safety. I am so grateful for this place!”

We’re grateful to be here for families during some of their most difficult moments, helping them take the next step with care and support.

Last Monday, Beacon Hill welcomed around 15 teen parents for a shopping spree! 🎄🛍️ Christmas trees and Lotus were big hits, but hearing what the day meant to these families was the best part.

“We get a Christmas tree, our daughter will get to stare at the lights. We can’t wait to decorate it as a family. It’s our first Christmas together.”

“What? I get to shop for me?!”

“I’m so grateful for you, this helps so much!”
