These are pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship training. Make sure you look at the difference both in the captions of the pictures. Pre-apprenticeships help you get into apprenticeships, but ultimately you don't need them to get in to one.

Live wind and wave information from our buoys can be found on the Backyard Buoys app (downloadable on Apple and Google) or can be viewed on this prototype: https://software.apl.uw.edu/proto/BackyardBuoys/app.php

They update every hour. We plan to put the buoys out annually to help us study environmental conditions that our salmon face as they leave the river as juveniles or enter as adults. We hope communities will also use these tools to check travel conditions on the river. We would love to hear feedback at the end of the season about whether you found the buoys useful or if you have any suggestions. Thanks to our partners USFWS Alaska and Alaska Ocean Observing System for making this possible!
