Avoid a mid-day sugar crash by packing well balanced lunches your children will enjoy this school year. The U.S. Department of Agriculture dietary guidelines say a meal should include five food groups: fruit, vegetables, grains, protein, and dairy.

Visit myplate.gov to explore healthy meals and substitutions for those with dietary restrictions.
For more helpful tips or advice, contact your child’s integrated care team or schedule an appointment with an integrated dietitian.

Summer in Alaska is here, and Southcentral Foundation wants to ensure everyone has a safe, healthy, and enjoyable summer.

With more coastline than the entire Lower 48 combined, Alaska is a place made to be explored from the water. Having the right equipment – including wearing a properly fitted life jacket – is essential to a safe, enjoyable voyage.

Remember to approach loved ones with kindness and compassion. Encourage them to connect with their primary care team directly for a checkup and to learn more.

Offering to join their appointment may give them comfort.
