Today our athletes officially wrapped up the 2025 season with their awards ceremony. All of our athletes had an outstanding season! We’re so proud of you and hope to see you back next year! Good luke 8th graders!! We can’t wait to watch you in high school!

Congratulations to our award recipients! Individual awards are voted on by their peers. The memorial awards are voted on by their coaches.

To the Family of Roberta “Bert” Pohl:

On behalf of Amboy Jr Tackle Football and Cheerleading, please accept our deepest condolences on the passing of Bert.

We are once again deeply moved and truly honored to learn that you chose to designate memorial funds in Bert’s name to our organization. Your family’s enduring support for our mission means more than we can express.

We still fondly remember and are eternally grateful for the generosity shown 2 years ago when memorial funds from Bert’s husband, Fred, were also directed to AJT. This remarkable generosity means so much more than a simple donation. It is a powerful affirmation of the work we do with our young athletes, and ensures we can continue to provide a safe, high-quality, and character-building experience for every kid on the field.

To receive such significant trust from your family not once, but twice, during periods of such profound loss is incredibly humbling. The Pohl Family’s commitment to our program is a legacy that will be carried forward by every young athlete who steps onto our field. Thank you for believing in our mission.

Mr. Mahar was not only a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, but also a coach, advisor, and mentor to many.

We were deeply touched and honored to learn that the family of Mr. Mahar had chosen to honor his memory by directing some of his memorial funds to our organization.

This act of kindness will allow AJT to continue our work in teaching our athletes the fundamentals and competitiveness of football, as well as inspire character, leadership, resilience, and teamwork, and in doing so, will create a lasting legacy for Mr. Mahar.

We are truly humbled and grateful for your support. Thank you for entrusting us with this meaningful gift.

Our cheerleaders also wrapped up their season yesterday! This year we had an OUTSTANDING 20 young ladies in our cheer squad!! These girls cheered loud and proud, and kept the energy going at every game!

Congratulations to our 5th and 6th grade team for finishing their season UNDEFEATED!!

Today they took on the Morrison Mustangs and walked away with a 32-8 VICTORY!!

Get ready for a GRIDIRON BATTLE! 💥 🏈

Today we travel to Morrison as the Clippers prepare to clash with the Mustangs in some Junior Tackle action for their final game of the season!

Will 7th and 8th grade pull off their third straight win!? Will the 5th and 6th grade finish the season undefeated!? Their determination is fierce, their tackles are tough, and they are ready to show the Mustangs what they’ve got!

Seating may be limited so bring a chair, pack your sunscreen, and be there to cheer on these young Clippers to a victory! 📣

Congratulations to our 7th and 8th grade team on their 30-6 VICTORY against the Mendota Trojans yesterday! It was a great game to watch and the boys played great! Of course, our cheerleaders pumped up the spirit on the sidelines and cheered amazing!! Let’s keep the adrenaline pumping kids!!
Our last game is this Saturday as we take on the Mustangs in Morrison! 7/8 grade kickoff at 10, and 5/6 grade follow around 11:30!

Today 7th and 8th grade hit the road to take on the Mendota Trojans on Doenier Field! The AJT Clippers are bringing the same momentum from last weekend to build upon their recent performance and walk away with the bragging rights! The rain should be moved out of the area so bring your bleacher seat and come cheer on our Clippers!

Yesterday was a great day for AJT! We started the morning by honoring our 8th graders and wishing them well in high school. 7th and 8th grade took the field and played a great game against Rock Falls and WON 8-0! 💥🏈
Our cheerleaders did awesome bringing the excitement and energy to the atmosphere and cheering our boys on to a victory! 📣🤸🏻‍♀️
Our undefeated 5th and 6th grade team brought the heat and came out to dominate Rock Falls winning 30-8! 💥🏈

We appreciated the community support and seeing everyone in the stands!!

7/8 grade travels to Mendota this Saturday and 5/6 have a bye as Mendota does not field a 5/6 grade team.
