🌟 Member Spotlight 🌟 Mock Bros Farms

Mock Brothers Farms is a multigenerational agricultural operation deeply rooted in Jackson County. The Mock Brothers and their families are an integral part of the Altus, Oklahoma farming community, which originated from an 1886 settlement near Bitter Creek and relies heavily on crops like cotton and wheat.

These men and their families do more than feed and clothe America. They continue the legacy of family-run agribusiness in southwest Oklahoma, and they also have a heart for our community and its people. They are active members of the Altus Chamber of Commerce, and are recognized as prominent contributors to local agriculture and community awards.

Thank you to each of you for all you have done, and continue to do for Altus!

Announcing THROWBACK THURSDAY at the Chamber!

The Chamber is excited to announce that our summer intern, Khloe Camp is starting a project to organize and scrapbook many years' worth of Chamber files and newspaper clippings. Each Thursday all summer long, Khloe will share one of her favorite articles from the Chamber vault!

We think you'll recognize some of these familiar faces from the Chamber from 20 years ago! Pictured are Lela Lopez, Holley Urbanski, and Marie Garrison. These three community-minded women from the photo taken in 2006 paved the way and secured the firm foundation that our current three Chamber ladies continue to uphold today. Many staff members came before them since we've been around since 1908... but Holley and Marie hold a special place in our current President, Jenny Graves's heart. She had the pleasure of serving as a Chamber Ambassador under Holley Urbanski's leadership during this time.

Fast-forward 20 years later... Jenny, Brooke and Angela strive to keep the Chamber traditions alive while continually finding new ways to improve the Chamber and our business community in an ever-changing environment.

Our Chamber wouldn't be where it is today without the pioneers who laid the strong foundation of a steadfast, committed organization that promotes commerce, unity, and the strength of our business community. These ladies and their vision statement remind us of where we've been, who we are, and where we want to be. Always preserving our history, while looking forward to the promising future of Altus.

We can't wait to share more tidbits of Chamber history with you all. Stay tuned each Thursday to see if you remember when that "Throwback Thursday" took place! 💙
