Our 4-H staff and families had a blast at the Trunk or Treat at Rockin' T-R Ranch on Halloween! It was a wonderful opportunity to promote 4-H and share all of the incredible things our program has to offer youth in Eau Claire County!

🍀🧵Sewing Skills, Creativity, and Confidence—Made Possible Through Community Generosity!🪡💚

A HUGE thank you to the Spirit Lutheran Foundation for awarding a generous $2,500 grant to the Eau Claire County 4-H Leaders Association!

Thanks to this incredible support, we were able to purchase sewing machines and supplies to expand hands-on sewing education opportunities for youth throughout Eau Claire County!

🧵From learning how to thread a machine and sew their first stitches to creating their very own projects, our 4-H youth are developing valuable life skills, building confidence, expressing their creativity, and discovering the pride that comes from making something with their own hands.

💚Even more special are the connections being made as volunteers and mentors share their knowledge with the next generation of makers, creators, and leaders!
These photos capture exactly why investments in youth education matter—curious minds, patient mentors, proud smiles, and the excitement of learning something new!

We are incredibly grateful to the Spirit Lutheran Foundation for believing in our youth and helping us create opportunities to Learn by Doing!🍀

Eau Claire County 4-Hers showcased the Field of Screams Haunted Trail and Barn this morning on Hello Wisconsin!

There is one more weekend to support 4-H by attending Camp Fear or the Fall Fun Days.

You can start your Halloween Weekend off to a spooky start with a trip to the Field of Screams while also supporting local youth organizations and the Feed My People food bank.

The 2026 Clearwater Winter Parade is back, and we can't wait to see everyone there participating in all of the fun activities we have planned! 🎆❄

Whether you're participating by dressing to the theme, writing letters to Santa, watching the fireworks, or simply hanging out in the warming house, there's fun to be had at this year's parade!

🍀 Applications are open for National 4-H Conference 2027!

🏛️ National 4-H Conference annually brings 4-H youth and adults from around the nation to Washington D.C. to work towards strengthening and expanding the 4-H Youth Development program at the local, state, and national levels. National 4-H Conference is the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture’s premier youth development opportunity to engage youth in developing recommendations for the 4-H Youth Development Program. The National 4-H Headquarters is charged with sharing the recommendations that emerge from the conference with the Secretary of Agriculture, National Extension Program Leaders, and others who determine 4-H programs.

‼️ Due to the nature of this program, 2027 dates are unknown at this time, but will be sometime during the Spring season. We are hopeful that we will get confirmed dates before the application deadline closes. We will not request payment or final registration from youth and families until after dates are confirmed.

🗓️ Submit an application with references to the State 4-H Office up to December 1, 2026. Up to 8 youth are selected to attend this working conference.
