Progressive Valley Cooperative is an intentional living community that fosters a progressive society and sustainable environment through action, cooperation, inclusivity, and the promotion of social and economic justice. We strive to bring individuals together in an environment that fosters members’ activist endeavors and personal growth as well as creating a safe place for living. There are seven
bedrooms that are home to students, workers, professionals, and others. House decisions are made by group modified consensus- everyone's voice is heard, and decisions are made accordingly. We emphasize a socially and environmentally conscious kitchen, organic and local when possible. All group meals are vegan. We accommodate any dietary preference e.g. We will be starting gardens this spring! Members complete daily and weekly chores, along with each holding a position (e.g. strategic planner, householder). We have independent finances, but have monthly community dues. All of our members are involved in social justice activism including q***r rights, local politics, environmental and feminist movements. Our home is an open resource to activist groups. We have a great eating room with a big table (and board games!) that you can use for meetings/gatherings. Join us!
• Locals: Get involved! Come to events or join a Sunday dinner. Just send us a message or stop by!
• Food co-opers join us for Sunday dinner, and are welcome to any weekday group meal. Compensation is based on a sliding scale, or bartering. Send us a message if you love food and community!
• Visit: We would love to meet you and learn from you! Send us a message to see if we are available to host you.
• Membership Process: Attend 3 meals, complete a written questionnaire and attend a formal interview following the third dinner. Accommodations can be made if you do not live in the area. [email protected]
