Check out this press release! Every year we send students to the Illinois Summer Youth Music camp on a scholarship! This is one way of giving back to music education for the community and for our students. We're still accepting auditions for the Fall Semester!

P.S. We're also very honored to have Claire as a part of AYS!

Edwardsville’s Claire Delap earned a full Illinois Summer Youth Music scholarship through Alton Youth Symphony and attended UIUC band camp.

Alton Youth Symphony will have an informational booth at the Alton Farmers Market on Saturday, August 22. We'll have a couple of instruments to try out and some fun give-away items as well. While you're checking out all the great produce, fresh baked goods, and handmade treasures, stop by our tent and say hello! We would love to see you!

Members from the previous year do not have to audition, but still need to register.

Summer Music Camp is well under way! Students are working together to compose music, working on rhythms, notes, melodies, and harmonies!

Summer Music Camp sign-ups have started! Every year AYS hosts a music camp for all students grades 3-8 in the area (students do not have to be in AYS to participate) for one week.

Camp is $30 for the week, but we do have scholarships available for those that need them! We have limited space, so sign up as soon as you can!

Christmas Wonderland, Inc creates holiday magic every year with its spectacular lights display in Rock Spring Park. But did you know that they also give back to the community by supporting local non-profits? AYS recently received a generous gift from these wonderful folks, and we want to say THANK YOU for keeping the spirit of giving alive all year long! ❤️💚❤️💚

Have you noticed our new AYS logo? Our intent with the redesign was to preserve our traditional logo, but add visual appeal and the full title of our organization to clearly communicate who we are. We think Jennifer Chadwick of Fritz and Chadwick Music has created the perfect design! Jennifer, a celebrated local artist and musician, graciously donated her time and talents to bring our vision to life. We're proud to say that she is also an alum of Alton Youth Symphony!!
