Well, we were blessed to have the OR staff from Christian Hospital join us again this year for another fun bed build. We asked for 7 beds last night and they gave us 7 quality beds.

Special thanks to our core member, Sheri McDuffie for coordinating and bringing her work group in to partner in our mission again.

Also want to give a shout out to anesthesiologist, Alex for dropping a welcome donation on us that will go towards our frig/hydration/Gatorade fund now that things are warming up!

And of course our gratitude is always there for our devoted core team members who keep everything in order and safe for our participants. Thank you, Jeff, Mark A, David D, Larry Q, Stan and Sheri.

Another delivery day today, but a little more meaningful for at least one person in our group.

Sixteen volunteers divided up into four teams and delivered 19 beds.

These deliveries were dedicated to the first Heavenly Birthday of our Chapter Presidents mother, who like many others instilled the value of community service into all of her children.

On that note we want to recognize and thank Tiffany Geisler for bringing her children out to help us deliver five of those beds. It is an honor for us to help you mature the important value of community service.

We also have our Create for a Cause Wall where all proceeds will go directly to Sleep In Heavenly Peace for the month of June. You can participate by making art for the wall or by purchasing art.

Time for another blessing pause!

We extend our heartfelt gratitude for the following monetary and in-kind donations:

$500 from the Olin corporation, which will go towards our next order of mattresses! ♥️

The Heartland Baptist Church of Alton hosted a bedding drive and collected 41 items valued at $800. ♥️

Time for another blessing pause!

We were contacted by Tiffany Pruitt with Liberty Bank who advised that their employees had chosen our mission to be a recipient of $850 from their "dress down for a cause" collection. We call this a win-win! Employees get to dress comfy on Friday, and children get a comfy bed to dream big! ♥️

We also want to extend our gratitude to David Davis Jr. with Construction Safety Consultants who donated two boxes of ear plugs, two boxes of dust masks and 30 pairs of goggles for use during our build events! 👍👍

The busy, busy girls and parents of Girl Scout Troop 301 were in the shop hand-building beds for children in need last night. We asked for six beds and they built us six quality beds. Thank you for sharing your time and energy with us, and we hope to see you again soon.♥️
