Twenty-five families were sharing one drinking cup.

That's what Send Relief's partners found in a refugee community in Sudan — families displaced by war, without even the most basic household items.

Because of Hope Builders' monthly gifts, over 2,000 families in that camp are receiving cooking utensils, basins, cups, and jerry cans.

Those 25 families have their own cups now. And in the process, 35 people gave their lives to Christ.

$286.1 MILLION. GIVEN FOR THE MISSION. JUST IMAGINE WHAT GOD WILL DO. 💙

Through the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, Southern Baptists gave 73.6 million this year to fuel church planting and compassion ministry across North America. Through the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, another 212.5 million was given to international missions.

That's 286.1 million given to advance the gospel around the world.

But these aren't just numbers.

They're missionaries serving in hard places. Churches taking root in communities that need the gospel. Compassion opening doors for gospel conversations. People hearing about Jesus and discovering the hope only He can give.

Behind every dollar is someone who chose to be part of the mission. And God is at work.

Whenever it’s needed, relief is on the move.

From our warehouse in Ashland, KY, Send Relief can rapidly deploy supplies to families and communities hit by hurricanes or other disasters.

Every pallet loaded here heads to people who need it urgently. Southern Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers on the ground ensure supplies go where they can do the most good.

Even now, a large generator is being sent to the Gulf Coast, to help with Hurricane Isaias.

Hurricane Isaias made landfall near Destin, Florida, Friday night, leaving downed trees, flooding and widespread power outages across the western Florida Panhandle and southeastern Alabama.
 
Southern Baptist Disaster Relief teams spent today assessing damage in communities from Pensacola to Destin. Tomorrow, a mobile kitchen in Pensacola begins serving hot meals to families who are still without power.

Pray for the country of Panama. 🙏

A powerful earthquake struck central Panama this afternoon, and damage is reported in the provinces of Veraguas, Herrera and Los Santos. We’re in contact with Baptist partners in Panama as local church leaders assess needs in their communities.

Will you join us in praying:
• For families whose homes were damaged and for anyone injured
• For calm and protection as aftershocks continue
• For safety along the Pacific coast
• For pastors and churches as they care for their neighbors while facing damage of their own

Send Relief is the humanitarian and community aid partnership of NAMB and IMB, mobilizing believers for gospel-centered relief here at home and around the world. Before trucks roll out and before volunteers mobilize, believers pray.
