A week ago, a wall of water and debris tore through the river valleys of northern Nepal with almost no warning. Hundreds are confirmed dead. Thousands more remain missing. Roads are still closed. Bridges are still gone. Many villages remain reachable only by air.

Trucks are still being loaded.

Rice. Beans. Cooking oil. Gauze. Simple tents for families who no longer have a roof.

The families in these valleys never waited on outsiders.

The church was already there — and still is.

Local believers who know their neighbors by name are delivering food, first aid, and shelter into the hands of families who are hurting — not as a team that flew in and left, but as a church that was there before the flood and will still be there long after the mud is cleared.

🚨 Prayer Update: Rain is falling again in northern Nepal.

Overnight, a team carrying food, medical supplies, blankets and solar lights stopped short of where they meant to be — the road runs along the river, and higher ground was the safer place to wait out the storm.

They'll try again in the morning.

Please pray:
--That the rains hold off and the roads hold
--For families still waiting on help in communities that are hard to reach
--For everyone traveling difficult ground to get supplies where they need to go
--For the church in Nepal, serving neighbors in the middle of all of it

Who will go?

As we begin September, we're reminded that God is still calling His people to go.

To the neighbor who needs help.
To the family walking through crisis.
To the community searching for hope.
To the places where the Gospel has yet to be heard.

The question isn't always “Where?” Sometimes it's simply, “Will you go?”

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord asking: Who should I send? Who will go for us? I said: Here I am. Send me.” — Isaiah 6:8

May we be people who are willing to say, “Here I am. Send me.”

She was still living in an abusive relationship. But something had changed.

Last Christmas, a Peruvian woman walked into a ministry co-led by Send Relief Area Director for the Americas Amanda Waldraff. She came looking for help after experiencing intimate partner abuse.

Through the ministry with the IMB, she found more than job training and a safe place to process her trauma. She encountered the love of Jesus.

This summer, she put her faith in Christ.

Her circumstances haven't magically changed. There's still brokenness. There's still a difficult road ahead.

But Amanda noticed something that couldn't be missed: "You can see the transformation on her face of just knowing that she has value. You can see the joy in her life after having found Christ."

That's what compassion ministry looks like.

Sometimes it means sitting with someone in their pain. Sometimes it means helping them find a path forward. And sometimes, in the middle of all of it, God opens a door for someone to discover that they are deeply loved by Him.

We're grateful for Amanda and for the many people serving faithfully across the Americas—meeting real needs and sharing the hope of Jesus.

They may have lost their homes. But they haven't been forgotten. 🇳🇵❤️

After devastating flash floods swept through northern Nepal, families are left picking up the pieces—homes destroyed, roads washed away, and basic necessities suddenly out of reach.

So volunteers are showing up.

Hundreds of relief bags have been delivered to families in these villages, carrying simple things that suddenly mean so much: rice, daal, cooking oil, salt, medical supplies, blankets, and mosquito nets.

You can see the need in these photos. But you can also see something else: people who are being reminded that they are not alone.

For Send Relief, disaster response is about more than getting supplies from one place to another. It's about showing up for people in some of the hardest moments of their lives and giving the Church an opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Please keep praying for Nepal—for families who have lost so much, for those rebuilding, and for local churches and partners who will continue walking with these communities long after the relief bags are gone. 🙏🇳🇵

Our Send Relief team at our Ashland, Kentucky warehouse is mobilizing emergency resources.

When a historic windstorm and record-breaking rainfall devastated Ohio, families lost their homes—and their access to clean water. Within hours, our team was loading pallets of water into our semi to get critical supplies to communities that need them most.

This is how relief works. Fast. Boots on the ground. Real people helping real people.

Families in Ohio affected by this storm need more than relief supplies—they need to know someone cares. Someone showed up.
