We work tirelessly to break the cycle of poverty and create brighter futures for talented students in the region. Make a Miracle was founded by husband and wife team Jack and Carolyn Canouse. It all started with short-term mission trips to Peru with their children, where they began to build relationships within the community of San Juan de Lurigancho. In an effort to empower and bring hope to thre
e young women they befriended, Jack and Carolyn decided to finance their college educations. Like many others within the community, without this kind of support, they would not have been able to further their education after high school. Jack and Carolyn realized that providing the opportunity for higher education was part of the solution to bring lasting change to this impoverished community. Soon after, they came up with a plan to broaden the scope of their outreach, and Make a Miracle was born. Make a Miracle was founded in 2015 and has been growing ever since thanks to supporters willing to team up with the Canouses and be a part of this Peruvian community's transformation through education, housing, and community outreach.
