We were blessed to have Pastor Bobby join us and share a special lesson using the Pumpkin Gospel. It was a wonderful reminder that even during a day full of seasonal fun, we can take time to reflect on God's love, His grace, and the hope we have in Jesus Christ. ✝️❤️

🚗🍬 TRUNK-OR-TREAT FUN!
We ended our day with an exciting trunk-or-treat! A HUGE thank-you to the parents, members of Indian Creek Southern Baptist Church, and community members who came out, decorated their trunks, donated, and helped make this event so memorable for our Warriors. Every child learns differently, and having the freedom to choose the educational path that best fits their unique needs is truly a blessing.

Seeing the latest WV Hope Scholarship 2025–2026 Report highlights confirms what we witness in our classrooms every single day: when families are empowered to invest directly in their children's learning environments, students thrive.

With over 14,000 recipients across West Virginia and a remarkable 97% satisfactory academic progress rate, the numbers speak volumes about the dedication of our students, teachers, and parents.

Our school, our staff, and the families we serve are deeply grateful for opportunities like this. We want to extend a sincere thank you to West Virginia State Treasurer Larry Pack, the Hope Scholarship Board, and every state leader and advocate who continues to champion, protect, and fight for educational choice in West Virginia. Because of your commitment, more doors are opening for West Virginia children to receive personalized, values-based, and faith-centered instruction where they can truly grow and succeed.

To all our families utilizing the Hope Scholarship this school year: thank you for partnering with us and entrusting your children’s education and hearts to our school community. We are honored to walk alongside you every step of the way!

Continued growth and success for the Hope Scholarship Program!

During our community helpers visit this week from the Tyler County Sheriffs Office, students were able to hear first hand how officers check in with the 911 Dispatch Center.

🍂📐 Math Beyond the Classroom! 🍁✏️

This week, Mrs. Barnhart’s 4th–5th grade students took advantage of the beautiful fall weather and brought math outdoors! ☀️🍂

Who says learning has to happen inside four walls? Learning doesn't just happen in the classroom—it happens wherever curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving come together! ❤️

Our students put their math skills to work in some hands-on activities:

🧱 4th Grade Girls: Put their engineering skills to the test by designing and building a cell phone holder out of LEGOs, along with reviewing fractions!

🔢 5th Grade Boys: Practiced identifying prime and composite numbers and reviewed the distributive property of multiplication.

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ ALL STUDENTS: Took on a multiplication obstacle course, combining movement, teamwork, and math skills!

From building with LEGOs to solving problems with chalk on the pavement, our Warriors discovered that math is all around us! We love giving our students opportunities to think critically, work together, and see how what they learn applies to the world around them.

🍁 Learning is an adventure, and sometimes the best classroom is the great outdoors! 🍂

🚨 Special Visitors at School! 🚔

Today, we were honored to welcome Deputy Sheriff John and Deputy Sheriff Mary from the Tyler County Sheriff’s Department as our Community Helpers of the Month!

They spent time talking with our students about:

🛡️ The vital role of law enforcement in our neighborhoods

🛑 Stranger safety & passenger vehicle habits

🎮 Staying safe while gaming online and navigating social media

📞 How and when to contact 911

The students got a live demonstration listening to a real radio safety check, explored police gear up close, sat behind the wheel of the cruiser, and tested out the lights and siren! The biggest laugh of the afternoon came when Mrs. Barnhart was playfully "handcuffed" for assigning a little too much homework. 😄

"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me." — Psalm 28:7
May the Lord place a shield of protection over these deputies and every first responder who puts themselves on the line for our safety.

👏❤️Thank you, Tyler County Sheriff’s Department! 🚓✨

🌿 Learning Comes to Life in Mrs. Barnhart’s Class! 🌿

Today, Mrs. Barnhart’s class ventured outside for a hands-on science adventure! Our students created their own mini ecosystems and put their classroom learning into action. 🐛🌱🔍

As they explored, students learned about:
🌎 Ecosystems – living and nonliving things working together
🌱 Producers – organisms that make their own food, like plants
🐛 Consumers – organisms that get energy by eating other organisms
🌿 Herbivores – consumers that eat plants
🦊 Carnivores – consumers that eat other animals
🐻 Omnivores – consumers that eat both plants and animals

We love giving our students opportunities to learn, explore, create, and discover God’s amazing creation firsthand! ❤️

Science isn't just something we read about—it’s something we can experience! 🔎🌱
