On October 17th we will be inducting three new members into the Alma Schools Athletic Hall of Fame. Our inductees this year are Seth Hubbard, Aaron Woolsey, and Lisa (Kapp) Moss. The ceremony will take place at Pine River Country Club, doors open at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $25.00 per person and must be purchased in advance from J&J Giles Tire Service in downtown Alma or from the AHS main office.

Last Friday, the Alma Schools Athletic Hall of Fame was pleased to present a check for $1500 to the APS Athletic Department! These funds are generated from our seasonal sport calendars which support the operations of the Alma Schools Athletic Hall of Fame and Alma Panther Athletics!

Meet Elizabeth (Eli) Hall, our Impact & Resource Assistant. Eli has been on our team for the past 11 years!

𝗤: 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙞𝙣𝙫𝙤𝙡𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙒𝙖𝙮?
𝗔: Growing up in Alma, and being the daughter of two very active parents who were once involved in the community, I decided it was time to move back to the area after being gone for twelve years and getting my Masters in Public Service from DePaul. I met the team in 2015 and knew it was the right fit. Serving the community and helping others as well as carrying on a legacy that I had grown to know my whole life was something that made sense to me.

𝗤: 𝙊𝙪𝙩𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙒𝙖𝙮, 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙙𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮?
𝗔: I serve on the Board for the Alma-St. Louis Rotary, and the Board for the Alma Schools Athletic Hall of Fame.

𝗤: 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙠𝙚𝙚𝙥𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙮 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙤𝙛𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙠?
𝗔: In 2023 I chose to go part time at United Way to take care of my mom full time because of her dementia and cancer. That kept me busy at home as a full-time caregiver. She recently passed away, and so my journey to get back into the community is starting again. I also recently took the training to become a Death Doula/End of Life Practitioner and hope to serve this community sometime soon. I am a beekeeper and have a handful of beehives on our property, and I love to travel and have been to 26 countries and will start stamping my passport again soon. Also I have a sidekick goldendoodle named Gordon who travels with me most places.
