Meet Pete Rickard – ACO Assistant Manager / Food Pantry

I’m one of the newest employees and just started at ACO in August 2026.

I worked in the insurance industry for many years handling auto claims and investigating insurance fraud. Recently, I made the decision to retire from insurance and refocus my career around helping those within the community.

My favorite part of working at ACO is being face to face with the clients and hearing how grateful they are for all the assistance we provide.

The biggest challenge for me is the incredible amount of food that moves through the food pantry on a daily basis. It is a high paced, physical job that requires several dedicated volunteers and employees partnering together to facilitate the movement of food from the donors to our community families each day.

When a new client comes into the food pantry, they are sometimes nervous about not knowing the process or may even be concerned about being judged for needing assistance. Seeing a new client leave with a smile on their face and realizing we are 100% dedicated to helping feed their family is one of my favorite moments at ACO.

All Community Outreach was honored to join Jack Henry and fellow community leaders for their 50th anniversary celebration, where we received an unforgettable surprise! Jack Henry granted ACO an incredible $30,000! ❤️

This remarkable gift will make a tremendous difference in the lives of local families, providing hope and support to our neighbors when they need it most.

And the generosity didn’t stop there! Jack Henry employees also collected birthday gifts for our ACO North Pole Toy Drive, helping create a magical Christmas for our children in need. 🎁🎄

Jack Henry made their 50th anniversary a celebration that reached far beyond their organization, touching the lives of families throughout the community.

From all of us at ACO, thank you for your extraordinary generosity and for making our community part of this incredible milestone. Happy 50th Anniversary, Jack Henry! ❤️

Volunteers make a difference. Every single day. 🙌

Whether sorting donations, stocking shelves, helping shoppers or supporting families, our volunteers are an essential part of what makes ACO possible.

Their time, energy and compassion help us serve more families throughout Collin County.

Thank you to everyone who gives their time to give hope. ❤️

Volunteers are the heartbeat of our organization. Meet three of LSEG volunteers who worked really hard and had a great time at the Resale Store on Monday.
