Happy Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul!

06/21/2026

For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named...

that he may grant you in accord with the riches of his glory to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner self, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the holy ones what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Now to him who is able to accomplish far more than all we ask or imagine, by the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Eph. 3:14-21

Today, as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, our nation's bishops consecrated the United States to the Sacred Heart of Jesus with this prayer:

O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus:

You know the longings of our hearts, and you desire that we enjoy friendship with you.

From your pierced side, you have poured out the wellspring of life, for which we thirst.
Your heart burns with a love for all people to return to a right relationship with you.

We celebrate the abundant gifts you have given this nation, founded on the self-evident truths that our Creator has endowed all people with the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

We make reparation for the offenses against you and against human dignity that have taken place in this nation.

May our hearts be united to yours, so that our families and communities enjoy peace and happiness; may broken relationships be reconciled, injustices repaired, and the wounds of our land be healed.

May your holy Catholic Church serve as a sign, pointing all people to your infinite love.
O Desire of Nations and Center of History, we ask you to bless these United States of America.

Who live and reign with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!

"I have a beloved niece who had had little experience with knowledge of God, and even less experience with peers being anything but judgmental and critical. She was on a shaky path fraught with every adolescent challenge and temptation. Thanks be to God, she agreed to go to Vox Vitae [Camp] for 2 days. It changed her life. Vox Vitae accomplished more in those days than any of our family have been able to in all her 13 years of life. She said she loved mass. She loved the rosary, led our family in the rosary after camp, and plans to pray it every day at home. She wants to make her first confession. She is overjoyed that peers can actually be friendly, accepting, and good. She carried around her Vox Vitae prayer book and led us in the morning offering. Her life is forever changed; she wants God. And, she is 100% pro-life.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel’s patronage, Jesus’ true presence in daily mass and adoration, the sacraments, the rosary, and exposure to truth – these components are what youth are craving, and they are what God uses to draw their hearts. Vox Vitae is absolutely a game-changer. I am in awe and overcome with gratitude for God’s work through Vox Vitae."
