🔥🤖 What a Weekend at Marysville! 🤖🔥

The Full Metal Muskrats (Team 5860) had an incredible time competing at the Marysville District event this past weekend!

First, a huge THANK YOU to all of our fellow Blue Water Area Robotics Alliance (BWARA) teams for the support, collaboration, and energy you brought all weekend.

We also want to give a special shoutout to the Marysville Robotics Team for hosting such a well-run and exciting competition. Events like this don’t happen without an amazing host team and dedicated volunteers — we appreciate you! 🙌

We’re especially grateful to Team 894 – The Power Chargers and Team 4779 – Robosapiens for selecting us to join their alliance during the playoff rounds. It was an honor to compete alongside you and battle it out on the field! 🤝

None of this would be possible without our incredible parents, sponsors, and community. Your continued support fuels everything we do — from long build nights to competition weekends. Thank you for believing in our team and our students. ❤️

😍 Our business team members organized a bake sale to run during the middle and high school lunches next week. They created a signup genius if you’d like to donate any baked goods or monetary donations to purchase something from Sam’s Club.

Any donations can be dropped off Tuesday February 24th during our meeting 😊

Algonac Robotics High School Team FRC 5860 Full Metal Muskrats competed at Ferndale and Macomb events this season. At the Ferndale event the team showed up with little drive practice but competed hard finishing qualifications matches in 19th place. We were not selected for the playoffs but had a lot of fun and brought back some lessons learned. This past weekend we competed at Macomb, where we had a rough start on Friday with constant connection issues. By the time we went home Friday the team worked hard to troubleshoot the wiring issue and got it working perfectly. Saturday the team came out strong and showed their driving and scoring skills. We finished qualifications matches in 25th place but we were selected by the 5th seed alliance and plowed through the playoffs all the way to the finals. Although we lost the finals, it was awesome to be event finalists. We also took home the Judges Award and the Safety All Star Award. This team put in a lot of work and long hours this season and we are proud of the team for the above success. Great job Muskrats!
