SSDI, along with Roy Martin and Tanya Hogan, had the honor of being invited to the Michigan Capitol for the signing of the bill designating the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) district for Sans Souci. This important milestone represents a significant step forward for our community and potentially will open doors to future opportunities for growth, improvement, and investment in downtown Sans Souci.

SSDI Road Rally 2026 🚗☀️

What a fantastic morning filled with sunshine, fun, teamwork, and plenty of laughs! Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make the SSDI Road Rally 2026 such a success.

The weather couldn’t have been better, and it was wonderful to see so many teams enjoying the challenges, camaraderie, and friendly competition throughout the morning.

We’re getting closer BUT….

SSDI is looking for volunteers to assist with our upcoming Road Rally on Saturday, June 6, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

We are seeking a minimum of 2 volunteers, but ideally 4 so we can have a buddy system in place at each challenge station. Volunteer responsibilities will simply involve coaching Road Rally participants and providing instructions for the challenge at your assigned station. We will provide all the details and information you need beforehand.

This is a fun event and a great opportunity to meet and spend time with fellow Islanders!

If you are available and interested in volunteering, please let me know. Feel free to bring a friend as well. Of course, if you’d rather participate in the Road Rally itself, participant spots are still available.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

We have so much to celebrate this season, and what a joy it was to see so many of our fellow islanders join us for the lighting of our beautiful tree.

Thank you to everyone who helps make this tradition a success each year. A special shout-out to San Souci Bar and Jane’s Market for keeping us warm and sweet with hot chocolate and cookies.
