“Darcy here coming to you from rural America. Quiet and calm is my motto and I’m asking for someone who agrees! I thrive on privacy, serenity, and a soft touch. Ladies are my best friends. And toys. Yep, definitely toys! The ones that squeak! Plush ones that squeak! Maybe even “furred” ones that squeak?? You know, the ones that TRY to escape my yard before I see them! Big toothy Borzoi grin.

I love to lean into my human. I love attention! In fact I love attention so much that I will trade you a toy for your love. How’s that for special?! By the way, I’m a real looker too! Maybe you would like to meet?”

Darcy is a country girl at heart. Sweet and affectionate, she thrives on peace and quiet. In the company of a woman is her happy place. Home is where it’s at for this girl, but she is anything but boring. Her prey drive runs strong! Critters have zero chance if they make it into her yard! For that reason, we are looking for Darcy’s home to be hers and only hers. No other pets or littles.

Four years ago Darcy was diagnosed with epilepsy, a condition that is well managed with relatively inexpensive daily medication and twice yearly bloodwork. A securely fenced yard is a must. No other pets or kids. Darcy is being fostered in the Midwest.

“Hi! My name is Annie and I’ve been an NBRF dog for most of my life. Thank goodness that’s so because they know my every need. You see, I can be a bit of a prima donna, wink wink.

Play makes me happy, walking the neighborhood makes me happy, going for car rides, eating well, lying on the couch; you know, things going my way makes me very happy! And I promise my sweet self will make you happy too!! Can you imagine my soft fur beneath your hands? I melt hearts with just a look!

Leaving my people and pack is the only down side of this next chapter. Thank you dear family for putting my needs ahead of your hearts. You know I am in good hands but, I will miss you.”

Attention West Coast people! Annie is eight years young and located in central California. She is personality plus; a gorgeous combination of alpha dog and total sweetheart. She’s been described as well mannered and downright perfect despite the fact that she insists on adhering to her own schedule. Did we mention prima donna?

She gets along well with large dogs and calls a cat one of her best friends. Secure fencing is a must for this adventurous girl and her dream home will include a playmate of equal size. Prior to adoption, all NBRF rescues will be up to date on vaccinations, have been heartworm/4DX tested, have had a dental exam, a f***l test and be spayed or neutered. Ongoing medical conditions and injuries will be addressed.

This past Holiday Season NBRF Rescue Morgana - formerly Crissy - (blueish tri brindle with white trim) received the gifts of a forever home, a new name and a loving forever family. This Summer Season the gifts are still coming for Morgana and her siblings as their amazing humans found a place to rent an entire pool just for them!

Thank you, Erica and family, for giving that little girl with the big heart her Happily Ever After!! We're pretty sure you are going to have a list of humans wanting you to adopt them too 😁
