ALA Unit 10 Oregon American Legion Auxiliary Unit 10 is one of the oldest units in Oregon. We strive to provide the best support and care for our veterans and their families

One of the major activities of the American Legion Auxiliary is caring for disabled veterans of all wars and conflicts and assisting thousands of other veterans to regain a place in civilian life. Women, who themselves have experienced the sufferings of war; can offer that warmth and understanding which no agency can. The American Legion Auxiliary also supports Children and Youth Activities, Disaster Relieve Activities, Patriotism, Peace & Security, and the American Legion ideals and principals.

The Vets Helping Vets HQ "Wall of Honor" will be on display at the Heritage Mall from November 8-11

During that time they will be collecting non perishable food and accepting donations to help with purchasing perishables. These donations will be distributed to local food banks to help our families in need during this government shutdown.

Please drop off your donations at the "Wall" which will be located in the inside entrance of Roth's for Less.

Our dear friend and long time Auxiliary member, Elizabeth Sayles has left us to join her beloved husband, Stan. "Rest in peace Beth, we will miss you."

There will be a celebration of life for her on Saturday, August 30 at American Legion Post 10, starting at 1pm.

September 11, 2025, is designated as the National Day of Service and Remembrance, also known as Patriot Day. It is a day to honor the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and to encourage acts of service and remembrance.

Here's how you can participate:

Volunteer:
Participate in community service projects to honor the lives and service of those lost on 9/11.

Attend ceremonies:
Attend Patriot Day ceremonies or memorial events.

Observe moments of silence:
Participate in moments of silence to remember the victims.

Fly the flag at half-staff:
As a sign of respect, the American flag is flown at half-staff on Patriot Day.
