In Equine Assisted Learning (EAL), the sensory trail invites participants to engage with their environment in a hands-on, meaningful way. As they lead or walk alongside a horse, they encounter different textures, sounds, and obstacles that encourage:

🌿 Mindfulness and present-moment awareness
🐎 Trust and connection with their horse
🧠 Problem-solving and adaptability
💬 Communication and emotional regulation

Each step along the trail creates opportunities for growth—building confidence while strengthening the human-horse partnership.

Therapeutic Riding is movement with purpose.

As the horse walks, its natural motion mirrors the human gait—creating a unique opportunity for riders to build physical skills in a dynamic, engaging way.

Through each lesson, riders work on:
🐎 Balance and postural control
🐎 Core strength and stability
🐎 Coordination and motor planning
🐎 Flexibility and muscle engagement

What makes it powerful? Riders are actively participating, not just exercising—often gaining these improvements without even realizing it.

Stronger bodies, greater independence, and confidence that carries far beyond the arena.

Stroke Awareness Month

Stroke is the fifth leading cause of death in the United States and the leading cause of serious long-term disability in adults. This month aims to raise awareness about stroke, its warning signs, and the importance of timely treatment. It also highlights stroke prevention and the impact of stroke on individuals and families.

Equine assisted therapy can be a beneficial rehabilitation tool for stroke patients, offering a unique blend of physical and cognitive benefits. The horse's movements simulate walking, providing sensory input that can improve balance, gait, and muscle strength. Additionally, the interaction with the horse can enhance communication, cognition, and emotional well-being.
