The Roanoke Island Historical Association is pleased to announce The Lost Colony Theatre Camp, taking place August 3-7, 2026. This five-day camp, open to ages 8-11, will feature puppetry, dance, improv, stage combat, audition classes and more, all taught by members of the 2026 Company of The Lost Colony. At the end of the week, on August 7th, campers will make a cameo appearance in that eveningโs performance of The Lost Colony.ย ย
The Lost Colony Theatre Camp marks the return of summer theatre camps to the Waterside Theatre after a nearly seven-year hiatus.ย ย
โOver 100 Theatre artists from around the country come together to bring THE LOST COLONY to life each year and we are so lucky that these amazing artists are giving back to our community, giving young actors the opportunity to learn acting skills and techniques used on Broadway stages and TV/film. This will be a remarkable opportunity for young actors in the area!โ says Jeff Whiting, Director & Choreographer of The Lost Colony.ย
Registration is limited to 20 participants and costs $225 per camper. The registration fee includes class tuition, a The Lost Colony T-shirt, and two tickets to the August 7th performance of The Lost Colony for parents wanting to watch their child make their professional theatrical debut.
More information and registration can be found at www.thelostcolony.org.
