The Junior League celebrated their incredible donors at a special appreciation event at Coupes!

The evening honored the supporters who contributed $1,250+ and help make the mission of the Junior League of Dallas possible. Their generosity fuels our Community Program and Signature Projects for meaningful impact across Dallas.

Thank you to each of the donors for believing in the work of JLD and investing in a stronger future for our community. We are so grateful to celebrate alongside you!

Today is World Hunger Day, a global reminder that access to food is a right, not a privilege. In Addison, we put that belief into action.

Taste on the Tarmac is proud to support the Metrocrest Services Sack Summer Hunger Program. Every $12.22 provides a child with food for a week. $110 covers nine weeks. To date, we have contributed $10,000 toward this impactful mission, and we are just getting started.

This year, high school culinary students competed with dishes built on one rule: 50% of their ingredients had to come from food pantry donations. Every bite was a direct act against hunger.

That is what community looks like- on the floors of a tarmac.

Thank you to our partners who made it possible: Galaxy FBO at KADS, Metrocrest Services, Yelibelly Chocolates, Chamberlain’s Steak & Fish, Texas Restaurant Foundation, Uncommon Chef, Oncor ,Cantina Laredo, and Lazy Dog Restaurants. Your support turns values into action.

This week, we gathered to celebrate the remarkable leadership and lasting legacy of Dr. David Woody III at The Bridge. 💙

For 11 years, Dr. Woody has led with compassion, vision, and an unwavering belief in our mission. His leadership helped shape The Bridge into more than a shelter. He helped create a place of recovery, healing, and community for thousands of adults experiencing homelessness in Dallas.

One of the most meaningful moments of the evening came when Board Chair Lynn McBee announced that the Welcome Building will officially be named in honor of Dr. Woody and his extraordinary service to The Bridge.

As Dr. Woody prepares to retire this July, we are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate a leader whose influence will continue to shape our community for generations to come.

Thank you, Dr. Woody, for your heart, your leadership, and your commitment to serving others.

2026 AWARE Affair Hauled In Funding With Awards, Purple Coats And Auction Galore.

Stacey Angel and Venise Stuart, who were first inspired by Friend of AWARE and former gala Co-Chair, C’Mone Wingo. Now a retired Dallas Police Detective, C’Mone served as a Missing Persons Detective for the last 12 years of her 29-year career. During that time, she encountered the case of an older gentleman with dementia who was reported as a Critical Missing Person and her experience investigating that case left an indelible mark. Inspired by C’Mone’s perseverance, AWARE created the First Responder Award honoring those first responders who show extraordinary courage, innovation and unwavering dedication in service to individuals affected by Alzheimer’s or dementia. C’Mone is the recipient of this inaugural award.

Please join us in extending a Texas-sized congratulations our 2027 Cattle Baron’s Ball Co-Chairs, Emily Hill and Claire Amberson Phillips!

Emily has been a proud member of Cattle Baron’s Ball since 2019, serving in a variety of leadership roles including Silent Auction Co-Chair, Live Auction Co-Chair twice, Junior Cattle Barons Co-Chair, and Membership Co-Chair.

Claire joined Cattle Baron’s in 2022, and has since served as Auction Co-Chair, Membership Chair, and alongside her two children, was honored during the 2024 Paddle Raise that helped raise more than $1.5 million for critical cancer research and life-saving treatments in North Texas.

One of the things Emily loves most about Cattle Baron’s Ball is the way it brings people together in support of an important cause. She has formed many close friendships through the organization and deeply values the sense of community, generosity, and dedication shared among the 100 women committee. Watching friends, family members, and loved ones battle cancer has made the mission especially personal to her, and she is passionate about helping raise funds that support research, treatment, and hope for future generations.

After losing her husband, Kace, to brain cancer in 2024, Claire’s commitment to the mission became even stronger. Now, as Chair of the 54th Ball, Claire is carrying forward that legacy with purpose and determination to help accelerate the fight for a cure through the American Cancer Society.

They are going to be fantastic leaders and representatives for Cattle Baron's Ball 2027. Together, they look forward to continuing the incredible legacy of Cattle Baron’s Ball and helping make an even greater impact in the fight against cancer. Please join us in congratulating Emily and Claire!
