This month, we’re excited to spotlight Pearl Williams, a longtime YMCA member!

Pearl was inspired to join the Y because of the variety of programs and activities offered. One of her favorite activities is the Light N Low Group Exercise class, which has helped inspire her to get up, stay active and focus on her health.

Some of Pearl’s favorite Y memories come from connecting with staff and fellow members at events. She says the Y has become a place where she feels inspired, welcomed and part of a community.

Her advice to anyone considering joining the Y? “The Y is a great inspiration, family-oriented, and a happy and carefree surrounding. Come enjoy all the activities that are provided.”

We’re grateful to have Pearl as part of our Y family!

Get ready for some spook-tacular fun! Our 2nd Annual Halloween Costume Contest is happening Friday, October 30!

YMCA members, come dressed in your best costume and snap a picture for a chance to win! Two winners will be selected for Most Creative Costume and take home some fun YMCA gear.

Whether you're spooky, silly, or out-of-the-box, we can't wait to see your creativity!

Our Member Services team had a great afternoon of learning, connection and fun at our recent in-service!

Staff from across the YMCA of the Capital Area came together to learn from Leroy Falcon, President & CEO of the YMCA of Metropolitan Jackson, enjoy some pizza and games, and win some door prizes!

While our branch teams were learning together, our Executive team stepped in to help keep things running at the front desk. We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect and support one another across the Y!
