Dear Community Leaders and Law Enforcement Officials:
On behalf of the Adams County ATV/UTV Association, Inc., we sincerely thank you for your cooperation, support, and approval of consistent ordinances allowing ATV/UTVs to travel through the Main Street Business District on State Highway 13 within the posted 25–35 mph zone. This approved route begins near Family Affair Restaurant, continues south on Main Street, and ends at Ca****la Street near Dollar General.
This access allows responsible ATV/UTV riders to visit and support the many businesses and services located along Main Street. We believe the additional traffic will bring increased activity, tourism, and economic benefits to both the City of Adams and the Village of Friendship.
Residents, weekend visitors, and tourists now have greater access throughout Adams County. State Highway 13 remains closed to ATV/UTV traffic in areas where the posted speed limit exceeds 35 mph and no specific approval has been granted. State Highways 21 and 82 also remain closed, except for the approximately one-half-mile section of State Highway 21 in the Arkdale area that has been approved for ATV/UTV use by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
We greatly appreciate the time, effort, and cooperation of everyone involved in making this important connection possible. Your support helps promote responsible recreation while strengthening our communities and local businesses.
Respectfully,
Dennis Kulwicki, President
Board of Directors & Representatives
