Cat Foster/adopt app https://www.jotform.com/form/200997587139168 All dogs are in foster care, while cats are can be visited at our shelter at 197 Middle Rd. We also keep most kittens and some special needs cats in foster care. We focus our effort

s on pets that wouldn’t do well in traditional shelters. Our mission extends to the Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) of feral cats, training of dogs with behavioral challenges, and education to avoid rehoming of owned animals. What makes CARE unique is that the volunteers take in older animals, sick animals, animals with behavioral issues that would not make it in a traditional shelter, etc. CARE caters to the population of animals that others find not worthy of life. CARE sees the diamonds in the rough, the tail wags beneath the sad eyes, and rehabs the animals back to being happy, healthy, confident family pets who bring so much joy to their families. Along with our sheltering and adoption programs CARE provide basic medical support to these same animals along with helping feral cats and low income folks who would not otherwise be able to keep their pets. In cases where people have found themselves temporarily homeless we have provided shelter for their pets until they have been reunited with their owners. Most of these pets would have ended up on the streets or euthanized. Imagine losing your furry family member as well as your home ? On behalf of the homeless pets we have saved and continue to save, please accept our heartfelt gratitude and thanks. We hope you will support our mission of not giving up on any animal no matter how hopeless their situation may be. We are their voice when no one else is there.

Meet Winky !

Sweet petite lady whos on the quiet side but definitely enjoys gentle interaction and being pet . She asks to please refrain from picking her up ....she has been slow to adapt to change but a home environment with quiet and gentle consistency and no other pets, will help her feel safe enough to blossom and shine .She will likely be ok with older children who arent excessively high volume and who can go with her flow. Please come visit this special girl !

Is it my turn for a home yet? The people here are so good to me but I’m ready for my home. I'm super sweet and love attention, but there are so many other cats, I get nervous and act like a tough guy with the other cats, which I am not. Will you come visit me? I want to go home!

Prince is a loving, playful American XL Bully—four years old, 75 pounds—with a heart of gold, which is amazing since he was taken from a home where he was abused and caged all the time.
He is a very loving, strong, high energy, powerful dog and requires extra attention. Because of this, he would do best with a STRONG experienced owner who has time to dedicate to his training and socialization.

-He is up to date on vaccines including rabies
-he is not neutered

Kylo is a 4 year old male husky (5/27/22) who is NOT neutered and he is fully potty trained.

Kylo loves company whether if it's through other animals or people, even kids as he has tremendous patience. Kylo tends to have a boundary issue when meeting animals the first time as he always like to sniff them and go up to them introducing himself but not many animals like that and it unfortunately has led to him being attacked by big dogs. He has never been the attacker. After some correcting from the owner/animals, he will start to learn his spacing. Kylo will do best with smaller pets or pets with similar temperament.

Kylo is currently working on his separation anxiety. Kylo does whine a bit once he feels isolated. This can even be as simple as a gate. He does not do well in a cage as he will cry louder and try to break out of the cage. If he notices that he can't meet any company that's over or separated from people in the house he does whine quietly. He tends to cry a bit more when he notices people are leaving the house but he does settle down quietly.

Kylo has the tremendous potential to learn as he is very food motivated. He will work for his food/treats with no problem. The only flaw in this is that Kylo also does have food aggression/guarding. This has been noticed as he likes to look for human food/scraps that are left out unattended and when anyone gets close to grab it from him, he will try to get away and growl viciously.

Kylo would excel and benefit more with an individual/couple with exp. and time on their hands or even a family. Having a fenced yard is best as Kylo does flee when given the chance. If you would like to meet Kylo, please complete the application at the top of our page.

Hi, I'm Luna. I was born on 09/11/25. I'm primarily an American pitbull terrier/Belgian malinois mix. unfortunately, due to some unforeseen family medical issues as well my family can't care for me any longer. I have high energy and I'm up-to-date on all vaccines and recently spayed. I would do best in a home with no cats as I have a strong prey drive. I have never shown any signs of aggression but I think I would do best with kids on the older side, due to my energy levels. She doesn’t realize that she is bigger than small children and tends to play a little too hard. Please contact [email protected] or fill out the dog application at the top of CARE's page
