🌍🌱 Empowering Women to Lead Climate Action in Karene District! 🌱🌍
The Needy Today is proud to celebrate the successful training of 1,660 women farmers on Climate Change and Climate-Smart Agriculture across 13 communities in Liebesaygahun Chiefdom, Karene District, Sierra Leone.
To ensure effective learning and active participation, the women were organized into groups of 50 participants, with each training conducted over four intensive days. The sessions provided practical knowledge on climate change adaptation and mitigation, sustainable farming practices, crop diversification, soil and water conservation, environmental protection, and strategies for building resilience to climate-related shocks.
These remarkable women, who are the backbone of food production and household wellbeing in their communities, are now better equipped to adapt to changing climatic conditions, improve agricultural productivity, and safeguard the environment for future generations.
This initiative goes beyond training—it is about empowering women as climate leaders, innovators, and agents of sustainable change. By investing in their knowledge and leadership, we are strengthening community resilience, enhancing food security, and building a more sustainable and prosperous future for rural families in Sierra Leone.

🌟 Empowering Women Leaders for Stronger Communities! 🌟
The Needy Today successfully conducted a Leadership and Group Dynamics Training for 1,660 women farmers in Liebesaygahun Chiefdom, Karene District, Sierra Leone.
The training equipped participants with essential skills in leadership, teamwork, communication, decision-making, conflict resolution, and group management to strengthen their farmer groups and enhance collective action. By building women's confidence and leadership capacity, we are enabling them to take active roles in community development, agricultural production, and household decision-making.
Strong groups create stronger communities. When women lead, families prosper, food security improves, and communities become more resilient.
Together, we are nurturing a new generation of women leaders who are driving positive change and sustainable development across Liebesaygahun Chiefdom.
