ADVOCATING FOR CHILDREN THROUGH THE AIRWAVES
In the lead-up to the Day of the African Child 2026, the Children's Forum Network (CFN) Kenema actively participated in a series of radio discussions to raise awareness about the significance of June 16th.
During these engagements, CFN members discussed the historical background of the Day of the African Child and highlighted this year's theme:
“Ensuring Universal Access to Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for All African Children."
The discussions emphasized the importance of safe drinking water, proper sanitation facilities, and good hygiene practices in promoting children's health, education, and overall well-being.
Through these radio programs, CFN Kenema amplified children's voices and called on communities, stakeholders, and duty bearers to work together to ensure that every child has access to clean water and a healthy environment.
Together, we can build a future where every child thrives.

A good photo caption for the radio station pictures would simply be:
“CFN Kenema members engaging the public through radio discussions ahead of the Day of the African Child 2026, raising awareness on children's rights and this year's WASH focused theme."
