Ebola outbreaks do not respect borders.

That is why Jhpiego works with partners across countries to build systems that grow stronger when we work together.

You can help us grow these systems and prevent outbreaks from spreading. Give to Jhpiego today: https://bit.ly/3Zi30vJ

Jhpiego Sierra Leone is supporting the National Quality Management Program, Ministry of Health Sierra Leone to bring quality improvement directly to the point of care across Port Loko, Pujehun, and Bo.

Ahead of the upcoming QI Learning Session, National QoC Officers, Master Trainers, and District QoC Officers are working side‑by‑side with facility QI teams to:

✅ Review ongoing QI projects
✅ Identify gaps and bottlenecks
✅ Strengthen data use for improvement
✅ Support teams to test and sustain change ideas
✅ Document lessons for shared learning

Together, we are building a culture of continuous quality improvement that ensures safer, more respectful, and more effective care for every mother and child in Sierra Leone.

🩵 Thursday Reminder

This Thursday, we want to remind you that behind every healthy community, there is a healthcare worker who chose to serve.

Every diagnosis made, every mother safely cared for, every child vaccinated, and every life saved reflects the commitment of healthcare workers who show up daily with the right skills, compassion, and resilience.

But great health outcomes do not happen by chance, they happen when healthcare providers are equipped with the right knowledge, skills, and support to deliver quality care.

That is why, we support the Ministry of Health to strengthen the capacity of healthcare providers across Sierra Leone through continuous learning, mentorship, and skills development.

At Jhpiego Sierra Leone, we believe that skilled healthcare workers save lives and empowered healthcare workers transform communities.

Together, we are strengthening the workforce that keeps Sierra Leone healthy.

🩵Monday Quote

From Ebola to Covid‑19, from Mpox to HIV and Tuberculosis, the fight against infectious diseases has been Sylvester Tamba Yondah’s lifelong mission.

With over a decade of service, Sylvester, the Community Services Manager for HIV and Infectious Disease at Jhpiego Sierra Leone, has stood at the frontlines of global health.

Today, through the Global Reach II project, his message is clear: protecting our communities begins with knowing our HIV status. 💙

As he reminds us:
“HIV testing helps to keep our loved ones and communities safe from HIV. Know your HIV status by testing regularly.”

Every test is more than a result, it’s a shield for families, a safeguard for communities, and a step toward a healthier tomorrow. ✨
