It was an honor for Thimzy Empowerment Initiative to host and witness the certification ceremony for the Empowering Women Organization's Skills Training for Adolescent Girls in Lunsar, Marampa Chiefdom.

The ceremony celebrated over 50 participants who successfully completed training in cake making, weaving, gara tie-dying, crocheting, tailoring, and other valuable skills. Our Executive Director had the privilege of serving as both host and a guest speaker at the auspicious event.

We were delighted that the ceremony was graced by notable personalities, including PC Bai Qublo Quee of Marampa Chiefdom and Hon. Alpha Khan, Special Adviser to His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio.

As a long-standing partner, the Empowering Women Organization is a beneficiary of our Organizational Development and Systems Strengthening Program. We at Thimzy are thrilled to see the remarkable progress and growth they have achieved in such a short time following our collaboration.

Igniting Hope, Building Futures: Our Partnership with BeMI

Today, we witnessed the true power of collaboration as we joined Beckma Empowerment Initiative -Bemi to launch "Hope Beyond the Classroom." This initiative is more than a program, it's a promise to the women of Sierra Leone. It is a commitment to unlocking untapped potential, providing undereducated women with the skills to not only change their own lives but to become active architects of a brighter, more prosperous future for our nation.

The cornerstone of the launch was a powerful dialogue on “Skills, Strength, and Self-Belief: Turning Challenges into Opportunities.” Our Executive Director, Madam Fatmata Fathima Kamara, served as a guiding voice on the panel, imparting wisdom and fueling a conversation that was as educational as it was inspiring. The energy in the room was palpable, a shared conviction that every challenge can be transformed into a stepping stone.

This partnership is the very essence of our mission at Thimzy Empowerment Initiative. We believe in lighting the path forward through purposeful action and unwavering solidarity. Together, we are not just waiting for change; we are building it, one skill, one woman, one collective step at a time.

Be the light. Together, we shine brighter.
