Thimzy Empowerment Initiative (TEI) is gearing up for the 2nd Edition of the Women in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Festival (WEIF) on 16th October, 2026.

Building on last year’s success, this year’s festival promises to be even bigger and better empowering more women entrepreneurs, innovators, and SMEs across Sierra Leone.

Last year was good, this year is going to be better as Thimzy Empowerment Initiative is gearing up for the 2nd Edition of the Women in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Festival (WEIF).

Today, as we celebrate International Youth Day, Thimzy Empowerment Initiative is conducting its quarterly monitoring visits to enterprises supported through the Women in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Festival .

One of our proudest success stories is Thersia’s Touch School of Beauty and Creativity, the winner of the Business Startup Pitch Segment, which received a startup grant under the initiative.

What we witnessed today is truly inspiring. A business that once operated from a single small room has transformed into a fully equipped enterprise with three classrooms, a shop, and an office space. This is not just business growth; it is a story of resilience, vision, and sustainable transformation.

At Thimzy Empowerment Initiative, we believe that empowering women strengthens families, communities and the nation. When women have access to opportunities, resources, and support, they are better positioned to lead, innovate, create jobs, and drive economic development.

The transformational stories of these young women remind us that the path to economic freedom, self-confidence, and personal growth is possible when opportunity meets determination. Their journeys are proof that there are no link to what young women can achieve when they are empowered.

This International Youth Day, we celebrate not only their success but also the limitless potential of young women across Sierra Leone to transform their lives and their communities.
