MATCH PREVIEW: PREMIER ACADEMY VS RAM KAMARA FC

Final Match of the SRFA Division One League 2026

Sunday, 21st June 2026 | 4:00 PM Bo Coronation Field

The curtain comes down on the 2026 Southern Region Division One League this Sunday with a blockbuster encounter between Premier Academy FC and newly crowned champions Ram Kamara FC at the Bo Coronation Field.

While Ram Kamara have already secured the league title and promotion to the National Playoffs, all attention will be focused on the battle for the second and final playoff spot, making this arguably the most important match of the season for Premier Academy.

The playoff race took a dramatic twist on Friday when Imperi Foundation suffered a surprising 6-3 defeat to Sewa Eagles in their final league fixture. A victory for Imperi Foundation would have guaranteed them qualification to the National Playoffs. However, that heavy defeat has left the door wide open for Premier Academy to seize the opportunity.

Premier Academy now knows exactly what is required. Only a victory against the champions will be enough to secure second place and qualification to the National Playoffs. Anything less than three points will see Imperi Foundation retain second position and book their place alongside Ram Kamara despite completing their league campaign.

The mathematics is simple. A draw or defeat for Premier Academy will hand Imperi Foundation the second qualification slot. As a result, the pressure rests firmly on Premier Academy, who must produce their best performance of the season against an unbeaten Ram Kamara side.

Ironically, Premier Academy was handed a lifeline by Sewa Eagles' stunning victory over Imperi Foundation. Now, Imperi Foundation supporters will be hoping Ram Kamara return the favor by denying Premier Academy the victory they desperately need.

Ram Kamara entered the match with nothing left to prove. The champions have enjoyed a remarkable campaign, remaining unbeaten throughout the season and demonstrating consistency, discipline, and quality from start to finish. Regardless of Sunday's result, they will be officially crowned champions and presented with the league trophy and gold medals after the match.

For Premier Academy, however, this is a season-defining fixture. Qualification remains within reach, but they must overcome the toughest challenge possible against a side that has yet to taste defeat.

Beyond the playoff battle, Sunday's event will also serve as the official closing ceremony of the 2026 Southern Region Division One League. The champions, Ram Kamara FC, will receive the giant championship trophy and gold medals, while the runners-up will be presented with silver medals in recognition of their achievement.

As the final whistle approaches another exciting league season, one question remains unanswered:

Will Premier Academy complete the mission and sn**ch the final playoff ticket, or will Imperi Foundation hold on to second place without kicking another ball?

Football fans across the Southern Region will find out on Sunday at the Bo Coronation Field.

One Match. One Ticket. One Final Opportunity.

SOUTHERN REGION DIVISION ONE 2026

*FINAL ROUND PREVIEW: EVERYTHING TO PLAY FOR IN THE LAST WEEKEND*

The curtain is set to fall on the 2026 Southern Region Division One League as clubs prepare for the final round of fixtures, with promotion places, survival battles, and final league positions still to be decided.

While Ram Kamara FC have already secured the league title with an impressive 40 points from 16 matches, attention now shifts to the battle for the second National Playoff qualification spot and the fight to avoid relegation.

*Champions Already Crowned*

Ram Kamara FC enter the final weekend as deserved champions after an outstanding campaign that has seen them remain unbeaten throughout the season. Their consistency, discipline, and attacking strength have earned them the Southern Region Division One title and a place in the National Playoffs.

However, the race for the second playoff ticket remains wide open.

*Promotion Race Intensifies*

Second-placed Imperi Foundation sit on 36 points, just two points ahead of third-placed Premier Academy on 34 points.

Imperi Foundation travel to face Sewa Eagles knowing that a victory will guarantee them a place in the National Playoffs regardless of other results.

For Premier Academy, the mission is straightforward but difficult. They must defeat champions Ram Kamara FC and hope Imperi Foundation drop points against Sewa Eagles. Any slip-up by Imperi could open the door for Premier Academy to sn**ch second place at the final hurdle.

Mid-Table Pride on the Line

Although no longer in contention for promotion, both Sewa Eagles and PAT Foundation will be determined to end their campaigns on a positive note.

PAT Foundation host Seaside Rangers in a fixture that could influence the lower half of the table, while Sewa Eagles will hope to play the role of spoilers against promotion-chasing Imperi Foundation.

Relegation Battle Reaches Boiling Point

At the bottom end of the table, every point matters.

Makpele Warriors have completed their fixtures and currently sit on 11 points.

Wanjama Stars remain in the relegation zone on 8 points, although their outstanding match against Sewa Eagles is yet to be decided.

Wanjama Stars face Yambatui Stars in a crucial encounter. A victory would significantly improve their survival chances and pile pressure on the teams around them.

For Yambatui Stars, the objective is to secure their Division One status and finish the season strongly in front of their supporters.

Fans can expect a weekend full of passion, determination, and unforgettable moments as clubs give everything in pursuit of their season objectives.

SOUTHERN REGION FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION

NOTICE TO ALL DIVISION ONE CLUBS

The Southern Region Football Association (SRFA) wishes to remind all participating clubs that earlier communications were issued warning against the boycott or failure to honour fixtures during the closing stages of the 2026 Southern Region Division One League.

The Association has received information suggesting that some clubs may be considering boycotting their remaining fixtures. The SRFA wishes to make it categorically clear that any team that fails to honour its scheduled match in the final rounds of the competition will face severe disciplinary measures.

Clubs are reminded that the Round 17 and Final Round fixtures are of significant importance to the integrity of the competition, as the outcomes directly affect promotion, playoff qualification, final league standings, and relegation positions. Any deliberate failure to honour a fixture has the potential to undermine the credibility and fairness of the competition.

Consequently, any club that fails to appear for its scheduled match without acceptable justification shall be subject to disciplinary action, including substantial fines and any additional sanctions deemed appropriate by the Competition Committee and the Southern Region Football Association.

The Association will not treat such conduct lightly, as it may be interpreted as an act capable of bringing the competition into disrepute and compromising the sporting integrity of the league.

All clubs are therefore directed to honour their remaining fixtures and cooperate fully with the Competition Committee in ensuring a successful and credible conclusion to the 2026 Southern Region Division One League.

The Southern Region Football Association remains committed to protecting the integrity, fairness, and credibility of all its competitions.
