From 24 to 26 September 2026, YHO participated in the Stronger Together 2026 – For Better Health among Children, Adolescents and Young Adults.

Sanja Šišocić spoke at the "Zagreb Declaration Impact" panel, while Elena Miletić represented the YHO as part of the Youth Group working on the Youth Declaration.💚

On this World Mental Health Day, we’re calling for people who have experienced mental health conditions to have actual influence over the services they use. 💬

📊 Only 45% of countries (in response to a WHO survey) reported ongoing collaboration with people with lived experience and family or caregiver advocacy groups in planning, delivering, or monitoring mental health programmes and services.

People who have experienced mental health conditions and have sought help know where the problems are: what makes support difficult to access, when they feel dismissed, and what actually helps. Their knowledge is valuable and should influence how services work.

“Real voices, real change” means giving people a role in decisions, alongside a platform to speak.
