RFSL Malmö kommer dessutom att anordna ett programinslag om q***r-migration den 16 juni, där vi kommer att lyfta fram vårt RFSL Newcomers Malmö projekt ur ett perspektiv som fokuserar på demokrati, mod och hållbara lösningar.

📣 Pysselprojekt för april månads q***r konst- och spelklubb: Det finns massor av olika pysselmaterial att välja mellan – var kreativ!

(ENG below) Kom till vår q***r-konst- och spelklubb- för första gången på vår nya lokal!

🗓 När? Tisdag, den 28 april kl. 18.00-20.00 på RFSL Malmö, Bangatan 7.

Under vår Q***r konst-och spelklubb bjuder vi in dig att släppa loss din kreativitet och njuta av en mysig kväll tillsammans med andra q***rs. En mängd olika målnings- och ritmaterial, pysselmaterial, ett brett urval av roliga brädspel samt stickmaterial kommer att tillhandahållas och vårt härliga team kommer också att finnas tillgängligt för att svara på eventuella frågor och följa med dig genom den kreativa processen. Kaffe och te, musik och naturligtvis en härlig atmosfär väntar också på dig.

Den här gången har vi ett stort utbud av olika pysselmaterial (pärlor, origami och mycket mer!), så var kreativ!🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Come to our Q***r Arts and Games Club- for the first time at our new locale!

🗓 When? Tuesday, 28 April, 18.00-20.00 at RFSL Malmö, Bangatan 7.

During our Arts and Games Club, we invite you to unleash your creativity and to enjoy a cozy evening together with other q***rs. A variety of painting and drawing materials, craft supplies, a wide selection of fun board games, as well as knitting material will be provided and our lovely team will also be available to accompany you through the creative process. Coffee and tea, music and a fabulous ambiance also await you.

This time we have a broad selection of craft supplies available (beads, origami, and much more!), so get creative! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

📣🌈📚 New report alert: Q***rTM – Trauma & Migration: Regional cooperation of q***r community organisations for better social, psychological, and legal services

Throughout 2025–2026, RFSL Malmö and Pink Armenia, together with partners in Georgia, have collaborated within the SI-funded project Q***rTM – Trauma & Migration to deepen knowledge on the lived realities of LGBTQI+ asylum seekers and refugees across different political and social contexts.

⚖️ 🏥 🛂 The combined context analyses from Sweden and Armenia show both shared and context-specific challenges. In Sweden, LGBTQ+ asylum seekers face long asylum processes, uncertainty, limited access to healthcare, unsafe or isolating housing conditions, and significant mental health burdens linked to trauma, identity struggles, and social isolation. In Armenia, partners highlight additional layers of risk shaped by societal stigma, limited institutional protection, and heightened vulnerability for q***r individuals navigating displacement or seeking safety.

Despite these differences, both contexts reveal a common pattern: structural barriers, lack of tailored mental health support, and legal systems that often fail to fully account for SOGIESC-related vulnerability. Our report also highlights the crucial role of community-based organisations in filling these gaps through psychosocial support, legal counselling, safe spaces, and advocacy.

Importantly, this project has strengthened transnational learning between q***r organisations operating in very different political environments. Through study visits, joint workshops, stakeholder meetings with policymakers, and exchanges, we have improved coordination of services and shared practical tools for supporting q***r migrants more effectively.

🌍🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Q***rTM shows that q***r migration is a transnational reality, and that responses must be too. The project offers concrete recommendations for more humane, inclusive, and trauma-informed migration and asylum systems, while reinforcing the value of sustained international collaboration in addressing q***r displacement.

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ During 2025, we have had the pleasure of hosting study visits and conferences together with our amazing project partner Pink Armenia within the SI-funded project Q***rTM – Trauma & Migration, led by RFSL Malmö under the SI Baltic Sea Neighbourhood Programme.

🫂 ⚖️ Together with partners in Georgia and Armenia, we are strengthening collaboration between q***r community organisations to improve social, psychological, and legal support for LGBTQI+ people affected by migration and trauma.

👥🏛️ In February, we invited elected representatives from the Riksdagen, RFSL experts on q***r migration, and other key stakeholders to share their knowledge and connect with our partners.

📓✍🏻💡In June, we welcomed our partners to Sweden, where we organised workshops to strengthen our capacity to work with q***r migrants. We also visited RFSL Göteborg to learn more about their work in sexual and mental health, and Regnbågshuset- a fantastic example of successful cooperation between q***r civil society and public authorities.

📝🌐📢 This project brings together expertise, lived experiences, and cross-border knowledge to better respond to challenges such as q***rphobic violence, displacement, and complex legal systems. Through joint sessions, research, and stakeholder engagement, we aim to build stronger, safer, and more inclusive support systems.

👣🌍🤝 Q***r migration is a transnational reality—and meaningful solutions require transnational cooperation.
