The Chinese Association of Seychelles (CAS) is to be the forefront in safeguarding and upholding Chinese values and heritage and integrate those values into the Seychelles community to contribute to its cultural diversity. The CAS committee will plan, coordinate and spearhead numerous cultural activities and events in cooperation with the Chinese Embassy and the local authorities. The purpose of t
he organization includes, but is not limited to the following:
- to create awareness, to inform, to educate, to support, to promote, and to advocate on issues of interest to the Chinese community and its decendants
- to encourage participation, to provide a forum for involvement, to empower the Chinese Seychellois in the cultural, economic and social processes
- to represent the Chinese Seychellois population in their common causes and to ensure Chinese representation in the social, cultural and economic life of Seychelles
- to share and enjoy the commonality of experiences and to identify and celebrate the differences among Chinese Seychellois.
- to recognize, foster, and nurture outstanding achievements and contributions of Chinese Seychellois.
