🇬🇧 National Public Speaking Competition in English – New Edition

Theme of this year’s competition:

“Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.”
— James Baldwin

Registration opens on Monday, 12 October. From that date onwards, all the information about the competition will be available on the official website, including the registration form and the competition rules.

Changes from Last Year

1. The 12–15 age category becomes the Lower and Upper Secondary School Category

The category is now open to all lower secondary school students (approximately 11–15 years old), including students in Grade 5.

The category will be divided into two age groups:

- Lower Secondary – students in Grades 5 and 6;
- Upper Secondary – students in Grades 7 and 8;

🇷🇴 Tema noii ediții a Concursului National de Discurs Public în Limba Engleză:

Înscrierile pentru concurs încep luni, 12 octombrie. Din acel moment, toate informațiile vor fi disponibile pe site, inclusiv formularul de înscriere și regulamentul.

Modificări față de anul trecut:

1. Categoria 12–15 ani devine categoria de gimnaziu
Categoria se adresează acum tuturor elevilor de gimnaziu (aproximativ 11–15 ani), așa că se pot înscrie și elevii de clasa a V-a. Categoria va fi împărțită în două:
• Lower Secondary – elevii din clasele a V-a și a VI-a;
• Upper Secondary – elevii din clasele a VII-a și a VIII-a;

Elevii calificati pentru 𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐚 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐚 a Concursului National de Discurs Public in Limba Engleza sunt asteptati 𝐝𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝟏𝟎 𝐦𝐚𝐢, la 𝐋𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐮𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐁𝐮𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢 – 𝐈𝐂𝐇𝐁 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐲 Strada Balta Albina nr. 9, Sector 3, Bucuresti.

Competitia va incepe la 𝐨𝐫𝐚 𝟏𝟏.
(scoala va fi deschisa incepand cu ora 10)

La semifinala nationala va fi prezenta Consola Evans, Director of Global Engagement la The English-Speaking Union din Londra.

De asemenea, va fi prezenta si Giulia Chiriac, castigatoarea competitiei nationale din 2024 si ocupanta locului al doilea in cadrul finalei internationale de la Londra. Giulia este in prezent studenta la UCL, in Londra, si colaboreaza cu ESU Londra ca Public Speaking Competition Lead, coordonand competitii ESU regionale si nationale de discurs public in Marea Britanie.

The results of the County Stage of the Public Speaking Competition, held on 29 March 2026, have now been officially published.

We would like to extend our sincere congratulations to all participants for their commendable efforts and achievements.

Participants marked in red have qualified for the regional stage, with the exception of those in the 8–11 and 12–15 age categories.
