Villagers Development Organization (VDO) is a non-governmental, non-profitable, non-religious and non profitable Organization working for the prosperity and development of the vulnerable community in Sindh Pakistan. VDO founded in May 1993 and achieved registration under social welfare control act 1961 on dated January 10, 1994. Overall vision of VDO is to raise socio economic condition of the poo
r communities through supporting micro credit facility and capacity development training program. VDO have come together to work in poverty alleviation, women development, Health and education development, Computer education, Community Physical infrastructure of the area and on climate change. VDO have achieved partnership with different government and non government organization. VDO run different projects with different partners and donors during this period. The partners or donors are Such as, Social Welfare Council, HANDS, Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Trust For Voluntary Organization (TVO), Australian Agency for International development (AUSAID) , ORIX Leasing Pakistan Limited, Orangi Charitable Trust OPP-OCT , Transparency International Pakistan (TIP),Right to Play, Child Rights Advocacy Network(CRAN) Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), Bearing Point a project of State bank “Financial literacy Program” . VDO is organizing different trainings workshop such enterprise development, livestock workshop, women empowerment, child rights protection for community development on different subjects and issue. VDO continued its struggle and efforts for marginalized communities to empower them. VDO have disbursed PRs.86.4 million in 6761 clients. In the end December 2012 VDO have 3,398 active clients & have outstanding loan Rs.32.5 million. In active clients 51% are female clients VDO believe in a better future for targeted communities to work together to make a better tomorrow. Organization Structure:
