YOUTH LEADERS IN ACTION | PROVINCIAL CHILDREN’S CONGRESS

Dan Edward, President of Catanduanes National High School YES-O, together with the SSLG officers, fellow presidents of CNHS student organizations, and youth representatives from the different municipalities of Catanduanes, attended the Provincial Children’s Congress this morning, a whole-day event dedicated to empowering children and youth through participation, leadership, and collaboration.

This gathering serves as a valuable opportunity for young leaders across the province to share ideas, strengthen their leadership skills, build connections, and advocate for the welfare and rights of every child. Together, they stand as voices of the youth, united in promoting a brighter and more inclusive future for all Kabataang Catandunganon.

The Catanduanes NHS- Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) conducted its monthly meeting for October to discuss upcoming activities, programs, and projects to be implemented both within and outside the school campus. The meeting also served as an opportunity to plan and coordinate environmental initiatives that promote environmental awareness, sustainability, and active student participation.

This morning, CNHS YES-O President Dan Edward Tatel attended the Division Federated YES-O Election at the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Catanduanes, together with YES-O presidents and representatives from various schools across the province.

The Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) proudly took part alongside various civic-minded organizations and environmental advocates in celebrating the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) Day 2026. 🌏💚

With a shared commitment to environmental responsibility, we gathered early, rolled up our sleeves, and took part in the ICC Day Program and Clean-Up Proper at Antipolo del Sur, turning our collective concern for the environment into meaningful action.

From the Provincial Capitol Grounds to the cleanup site, this day reminded us that protecting our environment is not the responsibility of one organization alone—it is a collective effort that starts with each of us.

Different organizations. One purpose. One community. One cleaner environment.

YES-O continues to ACT, LEAD, and INSPIRE for the environment. 🌱💚

We would like to give our biggest THANK YOU to everyone who became part of this activity and helped make it a success. To Sir Miko, Pres. Dan, our YES-O family, our participants, speakers, facilitators, and everyone who shared their time, effort, and support THANK YOU SO MUCH!

This activity would never have been possible without all of you. From the planning, preparation, and ex*****on, every effort truly mattered and helped bring Project ALAB to life.

SESSION 3 — Leadership: Leading with Purpose

Leadership is more than holding a position it is about serving, listening, taking responsibility, and inspiring others to create positive change.

For this session, we were honored to learn valuable insights on leadership from Hon. Lyle Benson Cabrera. His knowledge and experiences reminded us that being a leader means having the courage to step forward, the humility to listen, and the commitment to lead with purpose.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Lyle Benson Cabrera for sharing his time, wisdom, and perspective with our young leaders. Your words will surely inspire us to become better leaders and better members of our community.
