In Tourism Management, learning goes beyond books and lectures. It’s about 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀, 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿.

We are learning to provide the 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲,embrace the value of 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, and create 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 with people from all walks of life. On 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, we celebrated 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀' 𝗗𝗮𝘆, a day dedicated to honor our mentors that have guided us through our journey. Just like how a captain guides the passengers in every single flight, our teachers help us navigate the 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀, 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 with their knowledge, patience, and consistent support. 📚✨

𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 🚨

The Office of the Municipal Tourism Officer was able to hold the 𝟯-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗶𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 (𝗕𝗟𝗦) 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 for 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 in the Municipality of Silang which took place from 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟯 - 𝟮𝟲.

Through hands-on activity, demonstration, and practical drills, the participants were able to improve their awareness and ability when it comes to emergency and life-saving techniques—𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱! ❤️‍🩹

𝗠𝘀. 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗚𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗿. 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀 also attended the training, actively participating in the discussions and practical activities. Their participation highlights the importance of continuous learning and preparedness in promoting a safer and more responsive tourism environment.

This training was an important chance to improve first aid and emergency response skills, creating a culture of safety and preparedness in the Municipality of Silang. ✨

𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭-𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔!

On 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟰, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, our first-year students visited the 𝟯𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘁 (𝗣𝗧𝗠) at the 𝗦𝗠𝗫 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, held from 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟰–𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, with the support of the 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺. 🏝️

This travel mart included 𝟯𝟬𝟬+ 𝗲𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 comprising various airlines, tour operators, and tourism boards, in addition to special offers such as discounts of up to 𝟱𝟬% 𝗼𝗳𝗳 on selected flights, hotels, and tour packages. ✈️🏨

This visit provided an excellent opportunity for our students to understand the industry better. 🌏

This year’s theme, “𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺,” with the idea of looking at ways in which artificial intelligence and digitalization can contribute to 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 by empowering choices, strengthening skills, and helping to improve the tourist experience.

On 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, as part of the celebration of Tourism Month, with the theme “𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺” we gathered for an insightful seminar focused on 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.

Led by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿 where she talked about how 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 could make tourism 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 while focusing on meaningful connection. 🍃

It was emphasized that 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 should be embraced, as well as the need to invest in the enhancement of digital competencies and the 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀.

As 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀, let us hope that in our continuous 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻,, we keep in mind that at the center of it all will always be people, culture, and connections. 👥🌎
