With the news recently circulating about discrimination against a child with special needs, we are reminded that no one should ever tolerate bullying toward individuals living with disabilities.

Through Project Aral, Basa, Kapwa, Dangal (ABaKaDa) of the Rotaract Club of Santiago, we value the dignity and inclusion of persons with disabilities (PWDs). They deserve to be loved, valued, and appreciated.

Let us stand in solidarity with all PWDs and oppose any form of discrimination, mistreatment, or intimidation. If you think dragging others down makes you high, think again.

As the Rotaract Club targets to promote extensive service to the community, it also helps in bridging the gap between people and nature, and one of the key steps to bring this advocacy into life is the Project Seeds of Sustainability: “Transforming Biodegradable Waste into Organic Compost."

This is composed of processes as it makes the public markets' biodegradable waste every day, including vegetable trimmings, fruit peels, and spoiled produce, still beneficial. On September 3, 2026, we already started the first step of collecting and decomposing these wastes to be converted into a compost pit.

It shows how powerful initiatives can be, especially if they are capable of 'Creating Lasting Impact'! When we take care of our nature, nature surely does the same to us. We are so excited to work with you on the next steps!

We are pro-people, we are pro-environment!

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐬!

The Rotary Club of Santiago hosted a Bone Screening Activity, held on September 24, 2026, at the Rotary Clubhouse, San Andres, Santiago City, where people came to closely monitor the condition of their bones. This was in partnership with the Rotaract Club of Santiago, Cathay Drug Pharma, UNILAB, and DEXAMEDICA.

Targeting one of the Rotary International's Areas of Focus, which is Disease Prevention and Treatment, this gave an opportunity for us to be reminded of our health and well-being as we take steps to live of lives to the fullest.

Healthy bones, healthy bodies, healthy communities!
