🚑 BBRV Medics – Standby Medical Service 🚑

August 1, 2026

BBRV Medics proudly provided Standby Medical Services during the ARTHA CUP 2026 held at De La Salle University – Biñan, Laguna, in partnership with the Azkals Development Academy.

Throughout the event, our medical team remained on-site to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants by providing:
✅ Patient assessment
✅ Wound cleaning and dressing
✅ Vital signs monitoring and recording
✅ Patient stabilization
✅ Immediate first aid and emergency medical response

Understanding Bleeding:
Internal vs. External Emergency Care & Response Guidelines.

● Internal Bleeding: Loss of blood that occurs inside the body, where blood leaks from blood vessels into body cavities or organs.
● ​External Bleeding: Loss of blood that escapes outside the body through a break in the skin.

Management for First Aiders:
​First Responder Action Steps
* For External Bleeding:
​Direct Pressure: Apply firm, continuous direct pressure over the wound using a clean cloth or sterile dressing.
​Pressure Bandage: Secure the dressing tightly with a bandage.
​Tourniquet Use: If severe bleeding on a limb persists, apply a commercial tourniquet 2–3 inches above the wound (never over a joint).
​Positioning: Keep the patient calm, lying down, and covered to prevent hypothermia.

* ​For Internal Bleeding:
​Recognize Symptoms: Look for bruising, abdominal tenderness, rigid abdomen, vomiting blood, or signs of shock (pale skin, rapid pulse, confusion).
​Call for Emergency Help immediately.
​Supportive Care: Keep the patient still, comfortable, and warm. Do not give anything by mouth.

Sa bawat training, deployment, at serbisyong ibinibigay sa komunidad, mas tumitibay ang samahan at tiwala sa isa't isa.
