How strange it is that, among all the words people could say, theris always one voice whose words seem to matter more.

Every so often, you donโ€™t need grand gestures or endless explanations. You just want a little reassurance from the person who somehow became important enough to make everything else feel insignificant. A simple message, a returned call, a few honest wordsโ€”anything that tells you that what you felt wasnโ€™t something you carried alone.

Perhaps thatโ€™s what makes missing someone so difficult. You can be surrounded by friends, music, conversations, games, and everything that once made you happy, yet still find yourself waiting for one person to say something that would make the silence feel less heavy.

Because sometimes, youโ€™re not waiting for new wordsโ€”youโ€™re simply waiting to hear the ones youโ€™ve been longing for from the person whose voice would make them mean everything.

And perhaps thatโ€™s the hardest part, when the words you need the most are coming from the one person who may no longer be willing, able, or there to say them.
