--------------

"Ephemeral & Eternal" is a profound and deeply personal series of oil on canvas paintings by Filipino visual artist, Fil Delacruz. this collection offers a rare and intimate look into the artistโ€™s current state of contemplation. Moving beyond his traditional subject matter, Delacruz here explores the intricate relationships between human time, cosmic divinity, and the enduring nature of Love.

The central thesis of the exhibition revolves around the duality of existenceโ€”the fleeting 'ephemeral' moments of lived experience versus the 'eternal' span of divinity. Delacruz does not present time as a linear progression but as a divine force, encompassing all. In this series, he treats the passage of time not with anxiety, but with a refined serenity and deep reverence, seeking to capture the precise point where the transitory nature of life intersects with the infinite.

As an artist looking back on a lifetime of creation, Delacruzโ€™s work has grown increasingly introspective. "Ephemeral & Eternal" moves away from the broader cultural and social themes of his earlier work towards a quieter, more meditative landscape. The paintings are less statements and more inquiriesโ€”visual meditations on memory, loss, and the nature of grace. There is a palpable sense of the artist looking inward, his brushwork more deliberate, and his compositions more focused on essential forms and symbolic resonance.

"Ephemeral & Eternal" is more than just an art exhibition; it is Fil Delacruzโ€™s visual legacy of a life spent in deep artistic and spiritual exploration. It invites viewers to step into his contemplative world, to reflect on their own transience, and to glimpse the quiet majesty of the divine in every passing moment.

A beautiful convergence of heritage, fashion, and metal sculpture. โœจ

This collaborative showcase breathes new life into the iconic Ninay Dollsโ€”a cultural vision originally started by the legendary Patis Tesoro and Mayor Guia G. Gomez to preserve 19th-century Filipino traditions.

For this display, the meticulously crafted historical dolls are set against a striking, custom ornate metal backdrop handcrafted by visual artist Patrick Naval . The intricate golden screen provides an architectural frame that perfectly balances the rich, soft textures of the traditional garments, turning a cultural diorama into a modern piece of fine art.

Culture preserved, craftsmanship elevated. ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ”จ

ASPIRE TO INSPIRE

Pili-PINO
Small Treasures / Grand Visions

This August, the UST Atelier Alumni Association, Inc. presents a curated celebration of refined artistry and cultural pride. Opening at
The Peninsula Manila Pili-Pino opens its doors as an upscale affordable art fair designed for both seasoned connoisseurs and emerging collectors.

The title Pili-Pino carries a profound multi-layered meaning. It speaks of a deliberate selection (pili) of works characterized by intricate, delicate, and refined craftsmanship (pino), while proudly echoing our shared identity as Filipinos (Pilipino). The showcase brings together an exceptional mix of artistic styles and mediumsโ€”from detailed canvases to meticulous merchandise and sculpturesโ€”uniting generations of Thomasian talent under one roof.

Guided by the vision of "Small Treasures / Grand Visions," this exhibition proves that immense artistic expression does not require a massive scale. Instead, the historic creative spirit of the UST Atelier is captured in intimate, highly collectible formats that make fine art accessible. Atelier Pili-Pino is an open invitation to explore, connect with, and select a refined masterpiece to anchor your personal collection.

Vernissage: 4pm August 7
Venue: The Peninsula Manila
Presented by: UST Atelier Alumni Association
Curated by: Dominic Rubio Art Studio & Tribong USTe

See you at The Pen!

๐ŸŽจ TAPESTRY: WOVEN NARRATIVES ๐Ÿงตโœจ

Every culture, community, and individual is bound by threads of memory, identity, and place. ๐Ÿงถ TAPESTRY: Woven Narratives brings together a dynamic convergence of fashion designers, local and international artists whose practices intersect at the crossroads of storytelling, texture, and cultural dialogue. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’ซ

While the word tapestry evokes traditional textiles, this exhibition expands the concept into a metaphor for the contemporary human experience. ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ Each artwork functions as a singular thread - distinct in medium, origin, and voice that interacts with others to construct a rich, collective visual narrative. ๐Ÿ‘ฅ๐ŸŽจ

From tactile explorations and intricate material manipulation to evocative figurative storytelling and urban observations, the featured artists explore how personal histories weave into our broader social fabric. ๐Ÿ™๏ธ๐Ÿชก The dialogue between Philippine-based visual artists, fashion designers, and foreign perspectives reflects an interconnected global landscape, one where geography fades and shared human emotion takes center stage. โค๏ธ๐ŸŒ

TAPESTRY: Woven Narratives invites viewers to step beyond the surface, trace the subtle interconnections between varied artistic traditions, and discover the hidden stories woven within every stroke, structure, and fiber. ๐Ÿ”โœจ
