From the delicate patterns of the tais, hand-woven by generations of Timorese women, to the sacred uma lulik spirit houses that stand as guardians of ancestral memory. Timor-Lesteโ€™s culture here is something you feel, something you live.

The beat of the likurai drum echoes through the mountains. The swirl of traditional dance costumes colors the air at every celebration. Elders pass down stories and wisdom they gain from their lives as Timorese.
