The Binturong, also known as the Bearcat, is a nocturnal arboreal mammal with scent glands that smell like buttered popcorn. With strong tails that act as their fifth limb and ankles that can rotate backwards by 180ยฐ, they are very good climbers.
Binturongs play a key role as seed dispersers in nature. However, their populations have been declining over recent years, and they are currently listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List.
