𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐠, 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 : 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐠 𝐃𝐚𝐲s! 🇵🇭
Starting today, we celebrate the National Flag Days by displaying our National Flag in our homes, schools, and offices in celebration of our nation’s independence.
As we celebrate National Flag Day, 𝘔𝘢𝘺 28 𝘵𝘰 𝘑𝘶𝘯𝘦 12, may we continue to 𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙛𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 , 𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙢 , 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙗𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖 𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙤.
May this celebration encourage us to look back and appreciate the people’s who helped us shape our 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘺’𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦.
From revolutionary banners to the flag we raise today, the Philippine flag carries a story shaped by courage, struggle, and freedom.
Wherever we may be, 𝙡𝙚𝙩 𝙪𝙨 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙙𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮, 𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙁𝙡𝙖𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙡𝙨𝙤 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨.
𝙻𝚎𝚐𝚊𝚕 𝙱𝚊𝚜𝚒𝚜 𝚘𝚏 𝙽𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚊𝚕 𝙵𝚕𝚊𝚐 𝙳𝚊𝚢 :
* Republic Act No. 8491 (Section 26): Enacted on February 12, 1998, this is the primary law declaring that the period from May 28 to June 12 of each year is officially National Flag Days.
* Executive Order No. 179:Signed by President Fidel V. Ramos in 1994, this order originally extended the celebration of National Flag Day from a single day to the two-week period bridging the Battle of Alapan and Independence Day.
* Presidential Proclamation No. 374: Issued by President Diosdado Macapagal on March 6, 1965, this initially declared May 28 as National Flag Day to commemorate the first unfurling of the flag after the Battle of Alapan, Cavite in 1898.
